Liverpool - post match thread.

The team is short of a leader and lacks character , the dipper game reminded me of the Real semi-finals we accepted a narrow defeat against the Dippers from the first ten minutes , we may have dominated the ball for the 2nd half but there was no cutting edge or real belief in what we were doing and that is down to the players , you cannot instill the basics a sportsman needs , endeavour , effort , heart , hunger and courage we have very little of this in our current squad
It has been prevalent under MP and Pep , we need young hungry players who have'nt seen it all and done it all , Jesus Gabriel will be a good start he could lift our season.

We desperately need a new GK, two fullbacks, a centre half and a centre mid. Get two of these in January, and the rest in the summer. I just can't get over how bad we are.

To be fair, Aguero has scored 10 in 13 league games this season. Not sure who you hope will better that for us?
3 of those were penalties and none of the goals were against anyone half-decent. Our win % in games where he's not been available this season is 78% compared to 50% when he has. So others have been getting those goals when we need them.

It could have been worse, but we should have been better!

I accept that Guardiola is a genius, however, if he was sat with me now he could not convince me that bringing Ian on with 5 minutes to go was a good idea

Drop Aguero and get De Bruyne upfront. He holds it up like a forward but has the vision to bring others into play. Aguero has had it, its clearly not working

As for Kolarov, I'm sure it's been done to death but the whole game plan fell apart when he, lazyily, gave the ball away. No excuse

so no blame on YaYa's stupid golf chip just what did he expect Kolarov to do with it

Pep is proving all the cynics right. It's hard to argue with them really.

I was talking to an Everton fan last night. He was saying how he couldn't understand where Koeman was taking the team. Constant chopping and changing. Plays a back three, then a back four, never the same personnel. Persists with players out of form. Asks playes to do things they're clearly not capable of or suited to doing. No bite, no rhythm, no consistency. I honestly thought he was talking about Guardiola at one stage.

I have to say I've lost all faith in Guardiola, along with the last remnants of faith I had in Txixi. I know I'll get brickbats for that but honestly that's how I feel. As far as I can see, they are both proving to be clueless.

Honestly can anyone say with any confidence that we'll beat Burnley, or anyone for that matter? Or even predict with any level of surety what team and formation we'll play in the next game? That's a sorry state to be in given the money and resources we have at hand.

Luckily we still have Khaldoon and the Sheik, so at least we know things won't go spiralling completely out of control. I trust they'll make the right decisions at the right time.
It's this for me all day long. With our resources I feel that we are being mis managed from the top down . If I were the sheik I'd want to know what the fucks going on. Too many people getting an easy ride. That squad needs massive investment. The annoying thing is we've already spent millions on Sub standard players. It wouldnt suprise me if Burnley turn us over.

Pep isn't the problem - his mate Txiki is. Pep has been hamstrung by inheriting a squad of unsuitable and old players, despite Begiristain having spent two seasons with a lame duck manager supposedly preparing for his arrival. The last two seasons were utterly disasterous.

He's the elephant in the room, ironic isn't it that his best mate in football could be the man who wrecks his reputation through his incompetence in the transfer market.

His list of average buys is astounding.

I wouldn't trust him with fucking washers let alone another £200m.

Why the fuck persist with kolorov? He is worse than useless. Bone idle slow gives ball away allows free header
He is utter shit! Get fuckin rid!

A constant from the match day hysteria thread yesterday was the players have a weak mentality.

There may well be some truth to that but for those on here saying it and basically writing a manager off after 20 games, I would suggest their mentality is far worse.

Shit yesterday without a doubt and mistakes made but come on!

How kolarov and zaba got the nod for the full back positions is beyound me.
Not saying clichy is much better but when he has a run of games he plays steady.
Which was the case versus hull Arsenal and Watford.
Zaba has gone sad to watch really, like a old boxer having one last pay day

Kolorov at left back- fuck me sideways and call me Susan!
Unforgivable!

Last started in that position at Leicester ( a calamitous crap of a performance). His distribution is a liability at the best of times.
As soon as I saw the team sheet my stomach started to run.

What happened, he should have controlled the ball from yayas free kick, instead due to his shit technique his lame ass back pass goes back to Liverpool and then he is too slow to get back to block the header.

If there ever was a reason to play Clichy that was it. Right there.

3 points dropped. We could have taken them. Cant stand to see the same mistakes been repeated.

I expect him to find a man, if not, open his body an knock it out of play so we are all back in position

Not Kolarov specific - That must be the 5th goal we have conceded from our own attacks - Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal have all caught us up the pitch, it needs to be sorted

Whereas I assume you'd want someone like klopp at the helm? Except in his first season in the prem, of course, because Liverpool finished 8th, wasn't it, and I'm guessing you would have definetly lost faith then?

Here's a manager who, imo and I'm sure a lot of people's, coached the best team I've ever seen play. He then went on to coach a very good Bayern side. He's won more trophies in the last decade than anyone. He's managed some of the best players in the world, implemented an attacking system that he's world renowned for, and probably has been given the biggest accolades from fellow professionals, colleagues and rivals than any other single manager to date.

Now you might not give a shit about any of that but let me ask you a question, if not Pep then who? Please tell me who you think could magically wave their wand and turn this side into champions within 6 months?

If you struggle to answer that how about just getting behind the manager, behind the team, and give him the support he needs to do his job. We have the chance to build something special with pep, it may not work, but let's not abandon it after 6 months!

At last some sense.

Thank you.

Can't the coach see this if we can.....ITS HIS JOB.

Yesterday was my 30th visit to Anfield since 1975 and I have only seen us win once there. The first half was pitiful but only to be expected with the age profile of our team and the energy of Klop's players. We made it easy for them yesterday. Everytime we go there I think...don't concede the first goal. Their crowd yesterday was as quiet as I have seen for years. We played right into their hands. I wouldn't slag our players for effort. I thought we did work hard but were half a yard slower then theirs and I include Sergio and Silva in that. We need five or six players under the age of 25 by the end of next Summer. There's no point moaning, we just have to get on with it. We are not the first team to hang on to our great players too long...and we won't be the last.

Kolarov was wank but he wasn't as bad as Aguero and KDB, they're the ones that should be getting shit on here not Kolarov

It's strange.

He spends £150m every year and yet the squad continues to get older and worse.

It's quite incredible really.
