Liverpool - post match thread.

Pep chose bravo for his distribution? Every kick tonight to a red shirt, said it before and will say it again we are no better than last season, call me ignorant tell me i dont know football all the usual rubbish, sorry to say it but pep aint no genius

Poor performance from most of the side, usual go-to players like dinho and de bruyne were very poor and aguero was a complete waste of space - people will say he's had no service but part of that is his own fault for not showing - one point in first half we were flying down the left and he's in the centre circle. Big kick up his arse needed

I have watched city since 1976 (gulp) seriously I have never seen a worse keeper in all that time, delighted Pep is here and am sure he will make us into a fantastic team, however he has to admit Bravo is a mistake.
In Spain he was a legend but like many others who gave failed here he is a flop, put him out of his misery give torsion bravo beg Hart to come back

KDB was also absolutely woeful today. Should have been subbed for sure.
Opposing teams only need one chance to score against us. No Joe Hart getting the crowd on its feet with match winning save after match winning save. Not saying Joe would have saved that header, but he would have made a monumental effort, dived full length with a lot of spring and probably got something on it. Bravo has no spring. He gives the opposition hope.

One result has changed our season to hoping for a top 4 finish as opposed to a title win. I think we need Chelsea to start beating the other top teams now, starting with Spurs.

No still a long way to go. Hope Spurs beat the chavs , we beat burnley , if we get our arses in gear in the 2nd half of the season , we could beat Chealsea at away that just leaves 4 points to catch up, Chelsea and the other teams could go through a bad spell , no we can't give up yet.
Remember our title winning seasons we had no chance yet still won, wasn't united something daft like 16 points behind newcastle yet still won the league.

Never give up till the fat woman sings, come City on Monday and Come on Spurs on Weds.

Disappointed but not too down. Klopp's had a 12 month head start on Pep. Tonight again for me our 'big' players simply weren't at it. Silva, KDB, Toure, Kun, Raz, Ferna, all IMO well below their best.

I do wonder whether mentally going into games with such enormous weaknesses at full back is affecting the players further forward.

If we don't buy defenders this month then you can take it to the bank we've given up on the title and are going to be focussed solely on the CL and making sure we finish top 4.
Wish you'd of been right with your yaya up front prediction, might of given us a forward pass or ball forward to work off. In all seriousness, when we are so weak at the back it must impact the other players. One chance from our free kick on the edge of their box and in 10 seconds we concede. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool have all exploited it, no wonder the players seem lacking confidence.

So what you are saying is that if Joe Hart played today we would still.have lost 1 0?

Effectively out of the title race early doors for the third season running. I'd love to know what the hierarchy are thinking

They would be disappointed but I suggest not surprised.

Its been downhill for over a fair time now and we haven't recruited well in that time in terms of keeping up with the Jones so to speak.
