Liverpool - post match thread.

I have never said we are the better team when we haven't.

Tonight a draw goal apart would have been a fair result.

I will say though and maybe I am being biased but Liverpool where perhaps the most threatening team.
I think that shows the different mentality of our fans, based on the last 40 years in which (until very recently) we came to expect the worst and many of us still view everything through shit-coloured glasses, whereas you still think you're the best team in the world (when everyone knows that's now United). Consequently, your fans are mostly still "glass half full" types, whereas ours are "the glass is f**king empty and it's Kolarov's fault". So whatever the truth, I'm not surprised by your opinion, and I'd even expect most City fans to agree with you. We'd feel threatened playing Stockport Under 10's, for f**k's sake.

I agree we weren't that bad but we weren't that good either. The first 30 minutes of the second half we were comfortably in control but we offered no threat. Yaya played facing his own goal much of the time, KDB was utterly wank, Fernandinho wasn't involved, Silva did what Silva does and pretended he was playing in a gentle training game instead of a top of the table clash.

Aguero can frankly fuck off for me. Shows no interest or positional awareness. In a game of few chances, he was offside whenever we built anything that looked promising. If he was needed in or around the 6-yard box he was outside the area and there was at least one opportunity where he should have been around the penalty spot but was on the edge of the 6-yard box. World class my arse. I'm sure he'll bully Burnley on Monday though.
Spot on about the 6-yard box

Wtf does 2016 mean? Red rag to a bull is that, been watching city since 1963, the high press nonsense was the repeated reference on the pre match thread as to why we would lose. In the end we did not lose to high press.

This obsession with "high press" irritates me a great deal, it is a modern sound bite, all it means is forwards closing defenders down a sixties thing really.

The fact you say we have been patient since 2012, makes me think you are a plastic Johnny come lately no true city fan would say that, given we have won titles since, and previously won fuck all since 1976 :-)
-and you'd be dead wrong .

James Milner on Liverpool's win over City: "It was arguably one of our worst performances of the season."

Rub it in why don't you
Thanks for the compliment, James, because your shit play was a result of what we did right. If we'd had current-form Costa up front we'd have won comfortably.
