Liverpool - post match thread.

Lucky that Luiz still remained on the pitch and got away with a few more dubious challenges. City had another chance before the opener.
I don't deny that to an extent although when has a player EVER been sent off for a bodycheck? City should have scored, no doubt, I'm just saying there was nothing lucky about Chelsea's 3 goals.
If KDB had scored early in 2nd half who knows how it would have turned out, could have been very different.

This is nonsense, because they won 1-0 it means they didn't deserve to win? They were utterly dominant in those games. In all the 12 games in their run before todays game (which they also dominated & could have scored 8) there were only 2 teams that actually got at them--Spurs in the 1st half & City. The reason they've not only won all those other games but kept clean sheets in all 10 of them was precisely because they were so tight at the back, indeed, most of the teams (bar Spurs & City) just couldn't get at Chelsea. They've won 3-0 3-0 4-0 5-0 2-0 2-0 as well as those three 1-0 games. Just where they have been 'lucky' in these games is totally beyond me.
You do realise that it is impossible to judge a game by 5 minutes of MOTD action?

Proof that the players they have are good enough for another title maybe two under his leadership.

Personally while the league is tough and you have to be on song to get a win no matter the opposition I don't think Chelsea would do much damage in Europe with the current squad,

You're lucky you're still posting on the forum IMO. I believe it's against the rules to pretend to be a City supporter when you support someone else. Your five Chelsea related posts show quite clearly who you support. So I reckon you do one.
Pretended??? Where was I pretending? Is it not possible to just have a civil convo with you. I'm not gonna give it the biggin', & I wouldn't be rude about City either.

Pretending is the word you're looking for. I don't want to have a civil conversation with you. This is the City/Liverpool post match thread. If you want to talk about Chelsea go to the Chelsea thread and post in there.

I agree, the squad is weak in areas & it is a massive surprise that Chelsea are top at the moment. Personally I'm on permanent alert waiting for us to blow up because this team isn't as good as any past league winners we've had. I still think you are a major threat (too much quality) & Liverpool are surprising me a bit too.

Oh okay, fair enough. There was a lot of talk about Chelsea in this thread though in fairness.

I am not surprised , good manager , good work ethic , players in the main near or at their peak eager to get back into Europe.

A few tweaks from the side that won the title two years ago comfortably and away you go.

We have been on the decline for a while and Manure are just starting to get back to being semi competitive.

Arsenal are well Arsenal so Liverpool without Europe become the main challenger but personally I think you will win the title by 10 plus points this season from Liverpool.

We are in a battle with Spurs and Manure for fourth and quite possibly a losing one.

City are out of the race both defeats against Chelsea and Leicester on top of the draws against Everton and Boro (two of the league games where you can say that we had only ourselves to blame) have killed any chances of keeping pace with them. The only glimmer of a chance of getting back in the race is the return of Kompany (a slight possibility) and Chelsea imploding.
