Liverpool terror attack

The taxi driver who escaped the car explosion outside Liverpool Women's Hospital has been named as David Perry.

It is understood he has been discharged from hospital and is recovering at home.

Goes to show how much misinformation spreads on social media, I was under the impression he got out and locked them in, had no idea he was still in the car.

Have a watch of how easy it was for comedian, Simon Brodkin, to get close to Trump:

If a comedian who does a lot of pranking (seen his Sepp Blatter one and the City one n’all?!) can get that close to the then President of the USA, just imagine how easy it is for people moving in secret and protected circles to get close to their targets.

That the SISs shut down any terrorise attacks at all is a credit to them, never mind the amount they do shit down.

I can “trump” that, October 2001 just after 9/11, I’m in Barcelona on a golf trip with a group of friends. We are at El Pratt Golf Club and as we walked into the club a very stressed official told us we need to go into the bar and wait for our tee time. We go in there and a Swiss guy say “you guys with the President?” Na, we’re just a few todgers from Ashton. Anyway, a drink later and and me and my mate go to the office to get our handicap certificates which were being faxed from our home GC, Bill Clinton, surrounded by Security walks through the double doors dressed in a Hawaiian shirt, yours truly sticks out his hand and says “pleased to meet you Mr President” he shakes my hand and says “no problem”, his “people” made some dubious hand motions of their own and I was probably half a second away from being shot dead if my motive was anything other than a greeting.

It doesn't help when people in official positions say things like this (from bbc.co.uk) ...

"Joanne Anderson, the mayor of Liverpool, confirmed to BBC Radio 4's Today programme that the taxi driver involved prevented an "awful disaster" through heroic actions.
She said it was known he had got out of the car and locked the doors before the explosion happened - but she did not want to get drawn into further speculation."

What sick person goes to bomb a hospital it’s mind boggling. The quick thinking of the taxi driver is a miracle.

Reading reports he initially asked to go to the Anglican Cathedral. Roads were blocked so changed it to the city centre. Driver became suspicious on seeing him 'messing' with something lit up on his clothing.

Supposedly from family of the driver.
