Re: Liverpool are awful
As fun to watch as it is, it's only pre season.

Every pre-season one of the Prem teams gets whacked by some team nobodies ever heard of, but by the time the first game comes round it'll mean nothing.
Plus they've been battered by multiple teams who are far below premier league quality
we beat club america on penos last pre seasonSkyBlueFlux said:Adam-mcfc said:It's not they're just getting battered, it's that they're making basic mistakes that won't just stop because its not preseason. Our last pre-season was awful, and not just results-wise. We struggled with basic defending, lost to Sporting Lisbon, Borrusia Dortmund, drew to Club America, lost to New York Red Bulls.
The season before that we lost to the Orlando Pirates and the Kaiser Chiefs. Nowhere near Prem standard clubs. We also lost to Rangers and we drew to Barnsley.
Yet those two seasons we finished 5th and 3rd.
Pre-season games are NOT about results, nor about how valiantly you defend. They are about fitness and giving the odd reserve player a run out.
You can argue that it's wishful thinking for Liverpool to hope for more than a 5th place finish but you simply cannot judge at this point how good they'll be.
Not saying they're gonna be any good, just saying you can't judge off a pre-season game.
Fair enough mate I guess we'll see when the season starts but I think they have a long way to go before they are top 4 quality.SkyBlueFlux said:Adam-mcfc said:It's not they're just getting battered, it's that they're making basic mistakes that won't just stop because its not preseason.
