Liverpool Thread 2011/12

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

The best thing is the fans are still behind him on the whole. Hopefully he will stay cos if he does they are in for another season of this.

Still grates me that they beat us in the cup.

We fucked up badly in that tie. The cup was (more or less) there for the taking but, for whatever reason, we didn't perform over the two legs. Whether the club (players, board, management) weren't that bothered about the CC, one can only guess. It was one of my most disappointing moments this season. Repeat, one of.

They are probably the single team that outplayed us in pretty much each game we played against them this season.

Even in that one we won 3:0 they were not worst side, it just went on our side completely.

We just seem to not have answer for them.. strange though looking at their utterly poor performances elsewhere

Yep; I was over for that game, and the mickeys didn't play that badly. They had a great chance at 0-0 (Downing, IIRC) and if that had gone in, who knows? They may have got a draw. But then Reina let in an awful goal (Kun) and we never looked back.

That was the moment my opinion of Mancini's management ability and long term credentials took a serious nosedive.I'm still angry we never got to that Cup final,it was ours for the taking.

King Kenny sure looked like he was put in his place by Gerard didn't he?

In my opinion he'll jump at the end of the season.

If he's got any sense he would. When did Liverpool last go on a run of 6 defeatrs in 7 (or what it is)?

Anyone else and their fans would be going apeshit but cause it's KKK, it's "Give him time".

Bunch of stupid tossers really but funny to see all the same.

However, if KKK does 'resign' then who would go there? I'd have thought they would have chased a big name. Benitez again perhaps?

Re: Liverpool Thread 2012

Apparently the last time Liverpool had such a bad run was 1954.

If they sack Dogleash, who will they bring in? Whoever it is will not receive the same patience from the fans that SuperdooperKenny has. It's an unenviable task. How much money will their owners find after pouring over £100 million down the shitter last year? In my opinion, that team needs a complete rebuild, including getting rid of Carragher (definitely) and Gerrard (almost definitely). Even Reina isn't looking the player he was a couple of years ago. Then they've got shite like Carroll and Adam - no sensible club would pay above £5m for the pair, and even that would be a risk. They probably belong somewhere like Sheffield United.
