And, having posted losses of £50m, and still missed out on the Champions League looks like they'll have trouble meeting FFPR. Especially as they're worse now than they were when they embarked on their spending spree. Shame really.

Supposedly their losses are down to their stadium plans!? If they are then they don't count to FFPR

They spent £50m on plans can't see much more than £10m tricky to judge without seeing what they put in.

Liverpool are now a midtable club, closer to relegation than the title. No class player will want to join them.

It does sound beyond the realms of reality but that seems to be the official line at the moment

What they conveniently gloss over and no-one seems to query - is why they have no debt. Surely the yanks want their £200m purchase price back in either dividends or interest charges, their owner is rich but not on the scale of Abramovich or the Sheikh.

According to Wikipedia he's worth about $1.1bn (£670m) - the Liverpool purchase took about 1/3 of that unless he took out loans to buy it.................

I also have it on good authority that Eden Hazard WILL be a Liverpool player next season, the deal was already half-done when Comolli was still here, from what I understand Kenny and Clarke were in France that day to watch Olvier Giroud ASWELL as a meet up with Eden Hazard's agent and Lille's representative before the game to conclude the deal, Joe Cole will go the other way on a 2 year contract. It's a done deal.

Been having a footy discussion online with a normally sane Liverpool friend of mine.

He bit big time when I posted about Henderson not being worth the £20m they paid for him, to which he responded saying 'Well half your squad are on 200k a week'

I pulled him on that and reminded him not to like yoonited fans and bitter just because we are able to pay more than them.... so he said: 'Ok then give us Silva and tell him to take the 70k a week we can afford'

My reply was about ok, I can do that, if we can go back to the 70's and 80's and take Keegan, Dalglish, Hansen, Thompson, Clemence, Barnes, Rush, Beardsley etc etc..... because we couldn't afford the top players back then, different when it's you can't buy everyone eh?

He turned into a right mardarse saying shite about our council ground, our 'istree.....

I reminded him he had turned into a parody of the very people he hates so much whilst telling him he can keep his istree and I will keep our future.
