If they keep Suarez and get Eriksen:

---------Sturridge---------
Coutinho--Eriksen----Suarez
-----Gerrard----Lucas------
Enrique-Agger-Toure-Johnson
---------Mignolet----------

??

I don't know if they would play Suarez up top or Sturridge, but they could both do either I suppose.

That team there could play some neat football and could challenge for top 4 for definate, the only issue for me would be the three behind the striker playing too narrow like we did last season.

Liverpool's top 4 hopes however are dependent on who Arsenal bring in and if if Spurs lose Bale in my opinion.

I still think they have their work cut out to get where they want to be, they have to be far superior to not just one but both Arsenal and Spurs, that isn't going to be easy considering where they have been coming in the table the last few seasons.

Next seasons top four race will be amazing either way though.

The beauty is that if Liverpool manage top four as long as we are in there one of the other established teams such as Chelsea, Rags, Arsenal have to miss out.

Be careful what you wish for

Eh, why?

Looking at it from a purely City-centric, selfish point of view, then I would prefer it if Liverpool didn't regain a top 4 spot any time soon. Unless it's at the expense of the Rags of course.
If our plans of evil world domination are to come to fruition in the coming decades, then we need to convert a lot of plastics, mostly outside of the Cities (particularly overseas) where these teams play. Liverpool still have a large following worldwide. Arsenal to a lesser extent, but still large, and you'd figure City, Chavs and the vermin are going to be top 4 for the foreseeable.
So on that basis it's probably best if Spuds nick the last top 4 spot. Similar fanbase to us I'd say, but without the real money to capitalise on any success.

It wasn't why, but we can say that's why if you like.
