Liverpool owners selling club for £350million
The Fenway Sports Group, which owns Liverpool F.C. of England, has decided to put the club up for sale, reports The Sun.
The company has become disenchanted since paying £300million for Liverpool in 2010.
Despite spending £187million on players, they have not got near the top of the English Premier League.
The US owners plan to receive £350million from the sale of the club.
Liverpool had approached oil giant Saudi Aramco to discuss sponsorship months ago. Aramco is thought instead to have proposed a takeover

Despite them being one of the clubs screaming for a true break-even requirement, they've made nearly £100m losses in the past two years and the owners have put an additional £50m cash in. They won't carry on doing that as infinitum but with the extra TV money coming in from this season I'd be surprised if they didn't give it at least one more year.
Paisley does have a better trophy haul than Shankley; it's a fact. However, Shankley was the man who got them on their way.jlc09 said:Kun Aguero said:Bill Shankley was vastly overrated, 8 trophies in 14 years(one was winning the fizzy pop league.), Mancini has a better trophy ratio. Bob Paisley is the person who deserves all the credit. Discuss.
That's quite laughable.
Can't see them finishing in the top 4 though. That would mean them having a better season than (at least) one of the current incumbents, Which I think is beyond them. Also, if (when?) they lose the grand wizard of the Merseyside branch(?) of the KKK, they'll be rightly fucked.waspish said:I think Liverpool will be in top 4 for the first half of the season the fixtures seem favourable and one thing with Liverpool fans they will get right behind the team

It really is incredible isn't it?terraloon said:Prestwich_Blue said:It strikes me as a carefully worded denial but I could be reading too much into it.

Its interesting you make this point because a couple of weeks ago I spent a few minutes tracking their financial performance over the last 5-6 years and when you look at the significant sums they have lost and then read postings on their forum about how its a crime that Chelsea and Man City live beyond their means and how its a greater crime when owners put sums in that haven't been earned through football and how they wouldn't want to support a club whose owners inject funds well, it really does make you smile.

Seems Eriksen is going there and Coutinho is a fine player plus Sturridge was banging them in for them last season and Sterling isn't a bad player.
Plus they have bid for Bernard as well.

Are they playing all the teams that finished bottom half twice up to halfway then?
Really don't understand what you mean waspish.
