Might be a crazy prediction but I think they may struggle a bit in the league this year. A lot of their players are at the end of their peak period and as such I think they may all focus a lot of their attention on the Champions League.

This really don't see them as the type of side to retain the league, even the 2 wins were mostly due to slips up by other teams. Man city are never going to run away with the league not the most rutheless side always give teams a chance and drop silly points. This will be another hang over season in the league. I'm sure they will be great again the following season.

Put is this way Man Utd under Fergie had some ruthless seasons winning the league by March April, hell they even did that 2 seasons ago.

Man city have been poor league champions in terms of their performance in Europe, It's been embarrassing at times, not a great side yet.

Atletico Madrid have done better then these lot winning the league and proving themselves in Europe at the same time.

A more acerbic poster may say your talking complete bollocks with no basis beyond being a rather dense scouse twat.

From Mina Rzouki's twitter

It's not yet done. Falcao is between Liverpool and City but the former quite a bit in the lead to land the player. What a coup it would be

I heard Norwich are in for him too and might beat us to the signing. Huddersfield's bid was seemingly rejected due to wages.

Liverpool were offered Falcao for a years loan of 29 mill acc to SSN. arf !!

29 mil just to take him on loan for a season? Haha, i cant imagine even the dippers are that stupid.

18.2mil wages.... jesus, plus isnt that tax free in Monaco? Surely we would have nothing to do with a deal like that considering our restrictions on increased wages this year. I dont care how good he is, pay someone 300k+ and it wont do the dressing room any good. Yaya was fucked of with his lack of cake, imagine of there was someone else earning 100k + more than him.

No, AS Monaco had to agree to abide by French taxation laws to gain entry to Ligue 1 last year. Convert it into pounds and adjust it for a 51% tax rate and it's around £7.28m per season or £140,000 p/w. Another way in which a league (French) are getting fucked by FFP in regards to the big boys.

Ah right didnt know that cheers. Still with Tax added in the UK id bet that comes out towards 200k a week, not something id imagine Liverpool would want to pay.
