What a difference a day makes. I'm just reading the rest of the match thread on RAWK from yesterday, and they have convinced themselves that we only breached their defence 3 times, yet they waltzed through ours countless times.

We only won because

It was too early in the season for them
They didn't have enough of a pre season
Their players are still settling in
Our players have been together for years
Our players are cynical
Three lucky goals
We played like Chelsea

They won the first 40 minutes and this is conclusive proof that we weren't better than them.

The boom bust cycle is back on track.
I read a few of them thinking that they always get us early in the season as part of some conspiracy from the FA. Not sure how playing us early is a meant to be detrimental to them, unless they feel that we somehow start our season earlier than them so are at full speed and they aren't? Mentalists
Yep, they're nowhere near full speed with their month pre season opposed to our two week one.
Got us dead early last season too, Stephens day.

The negative fr Liverpool is that they don't look great, but the positive is that despite things being so early (signings could change a lot) Arsenal and obviously United look worse. There is quite a gap between Chelsea/City and the rest.

Bwaaaaaahahahaha. From a team who made diving around the opposition box a tactical priority. Tell us another one Allen.
He is mediocre player anyways. Still don't understand why Liverpool bought him for £15m 2 years ago.

he is the Welsh Xavi, or so Rodgers would have us believe. bargain at that price

they did that to prevent the rags from paying £40m for him now ha ha ha

I think it's way too early to write Liverpool off as challengers this season. They've added a lot of players and it's difficult to work out how well they'll settle in but just because it didn't work out at Tottenham last season when they signed all those players doesn't mean it won't work out at Liverpool.

From what little I saw of him the other night, Markovic looks like he can do a lot of damage. As good as Di Maria is, Markovic at a third of the price might turn out to be the better value signing.

Their hypocrisy is in full swing ...

Suspect it will take Liverpool quite some time to adjust.

When Demichelis cam in last season, it took him about 4 months to settle in. Defenders always seem to be that way. Liverpool made defensive mistakes that were costly against City, and I think that's inevitable with a new defence.

We don't know how their forward play is going to develop with Mario. Against City they packed the midfield and Sturridge was isolated until they started chasing the game, but I think that was a one-off.

Arsenal have to decide what they are going to do about Giroud. Sanchez did well last night, but if they don't bring in another forward I don't see how they can stay with City and Chelsea. If you were cynical would say that Arsenal wont spend anyway because they are happy just to be top 4

Oh the irony of that statement, most of them are shameless pathetic divers,i really don't dislike the club and all ,but they could stop doing with all this bullshit like this and also the crap spouted by brendon rodgers, that they are some family club this that doing things right way and all, enough of it.
It's like a dictatorial regime or a weird cult. They have to keep speaking "the truth" to keep up the delusion. Clubs that are actually honest, family clubs don't have to keep banging on about the fact. As Tywin Lannister said, "anyone who has to say "I am the king" is no true king."

They have a new defence every year. How many central defenders did they buy last year? Demichelis got a lot of stick at the start of last season, but you have to remember that we didn't have the same CB partnership 2 games in a row for about 2 months, and sometimes we were even playing a midfielder at the back.
