When Demichelis cam in last season, it took him about 4 months to settle in. Defenders always seem to be that way. Liverpool made defensive mistakes that were costly against City, and I think that's inevitable with a new defence.
They have a new defence every year. How many central defenders did they buy last year? Demichelis got a lot of stick at the start of last season, but you have to remember that we didn't have the same CB partnership 2 games in a row for about 2 months, and sometimes we were even playing a midfielder at the back.
Agreed. And Demichelis got injured in his first training session I think and was out for some weeks

LFC have new defenders, new midfielders, new forwards. They may well turn out to be good signings, and they maybe very lucky, or well coached, and click more or less straight away as happened for City under Sven when he made a rash of signings. But it's more likely that they'll be struggling to adapt.

I'm expecting a Spurs win, or a draw at WHL at the weekend. Looking forward to that game. It will be billed as the return of Mario, but if Liverpool do lose that one, they will really be under a cloud.

just watched a re-run of the game on the un-biased LFC channel , the first 10 minutes , was all city , the next 10 minutes was even but we had more shots , the dippers then had 15-20 minutes spell of superiority ,and we then had the best of the last 5-10 minutes , these are the facts. The 2nd half was a lesson in how to contain the oppostion and finish them off with a professional , ruthless performance , because thats what CHAMPIONS do. But according to gary gillespie and some other retarded tool on commentating on LFC TV , they were unlucky to lose !!!, and the irish messiah gave very little credit to the CHAMPIONS of england in his post match presser ,The fact they cant accept they were given a lesson in football , is exactly why brenda and his gullible followers will never win fcuk all.

The negative fr Liverpool is that they don't look great, but the positive is that despite things being so early (signings could change a lot) Arsenal and obviously United look worse. There is quite a gap between Chelsea/City and the rest.
Suspect it will take Liverpool quite some time to adjust.

When Demichelis cam in last season, it took him about 4 months to settle in. Defenders always seem to be that way. Liverpool made defensive mistakes that were costly against City, and I think that's inevitable with a new defence.

We don't know how their forward play is going to develop with Mario. Against City they packed the midfield and Sturridge was isolated until they started chasing the game, but I think that was a one-off.

Arsenal have to decide what they are going to do about Giroud. Sanchez did well last night, but if they don't bring in another forward I don't see how they can stay with City and Chelsea. If you were cynical would say that Arsenal wont spend anyway because they are happy just to be top 4

I don't think it took him that long. A combination of injury and being nowhere near as bad as some were making out, combined with the media narrative, lead to people thinking he took a lot longer to settle in that he actually did. The players that Liverpool are trying to settle in however are both a) not as experienced as Demi, and b) having to work under Rodgers, who doesn't look like he could organise a defence if a title challenge rested on it.

I wasn't impressed with Liverpool at all on Monday night.

They were relying far too heavily on Sterling and mainly his off the ball runs. I'm a massive fan of his, but they have to remember he's only 19.

With new signings Balotelli, Lallana (when fit again) and Markovic, I don't think Rodgers has a clue what his best eleven is. He definitely doesn't know what his best back four is - far from it.

Big game for them away at Spurs this weekend, could be two successive defeats.

I actually thought they played quite well.especially in the first half.Just before we scored though we were getting on top and the second half could have been embarrassing for them if we hadn't taken our foot off the gas, aside from our kamikaze 5 minutes after they scored.

It is laughable that gobshite Rodgers never seems to give us or anybody else credit and he and some of their players keep spouting utter drivel about ''Doing things the right way'' etcetera.

They have had and still have some of the biggest diving cheats going and as for Suarez, well we all know what he brought to the table! The fact they kept on backing him shoots all the tripe about doing things the right way out of the water. You will play any player and do anything to win Rodgers, just like any other manager in the league so shut the fuck up!

Let us pray they are dumped into the Europa league as soon as possible hindering their domestic season even more.
