I was hoping Liverpool would get a tough group so they would get truly tested but R.Madrid should be enough i guess...

Imo, Madrid will smack them about home and away, Ancelotti will give them no space to run into and Ronaldo Bale etc will tear them to shreds on the counter. They'll probably still convince themselves they were unlucky though.
Basel are no pushover and their quick counter attacking should stand them in good stead and Ludegorets will finish bottom but nobody is going to hammer them. Good chance of Pool going into the EL and playing PL after Madrid and Basel is something they will struggle with.

You're forgetting those amazing nights at Anfield, when the ghost of Kenny Dalglish stalks the tunnel and inspires the players to supernatural standards of football.

and the crowd, don't forget that Real have never seen a crowd like it.

No dipper wankfest since monday absolute bliss, no raggy shirts to contend with either after last nights showing. Long may the peace and quiet continue. :-)

They'll be bouncing around like daft Labrador's come Friday.
Ah yes. Those magical Anfield European nights......

on twitter they haven't stopped banging on about those glory days since the draw they were trending after 5 minutes
and reckon they will draw away and win at home v Real Madrid

Oh of course, that'll put Bale, Modric and Ronaldo right off. They might want to be careful trying to nick the hubcaps off Madrid's bus though, Ramos has a habit of dropping things off the top of it.
Pepe v Skrtel at set pieces should be worth tuning in for alone.

Will the home game v Real Madrid be one of those 'special nights'? Do you think the Real players will be intimidated by the Kop? Can't fucking wait for the TV coverage of that one!

Puts tin hat on, IMO if we finish second, it would be better for us if Dippers top their group at least we won't get Madrid , and another group topper will unfortunately get Madrid. Lot of ifs and buts but just saying.

Against Real Madrid they'll be good for the opening 15 minutes, by which I mean they'll be tear arsing around like a load of hyper active school children. However this 15 minute period will conclude that they were in fact the better team and deserved to win the tie, despite getting dry bummed for the remaining 75 minutes and loosing 4-0.

Brenda will declare all 4 goals "poor" and "very lucky", insinuating that they were scored mostly as a result of Real Madrids large financial advantage, before signing off that they will "go again".
