"Brenda" piss-take aside, on a serious note what would you do?

There is also a cost to resetting and restarting.

For me, I'd just hold crisis talks and sorting out once and for all how transfers are done at our club, and then set up some private minimum expectations for the rest of the season.

It's all well and good to call for someone's head, and then what?

I'm not very happy with some of the things he's doing now but I don't think it's unreasonable to see if he has what it takes to fix it--granted it shouldn't be forever.

Have an open top bus parade, brick some opposition fans' coaches, 'unleash the crowd', 'do it for the 96', dive repeatedly in the opposition penalty area, kick it long to the strikers.

All of the things that worked last year that you're not doing any more, the only thing that's stayed constant is your manager constantly talking shite and being disrespectful towards other clubs and he'll be gone very, very soon.

Is that a serious photoshop from RAWK last season or just a wind up? If real, that's sooo cringe!
It is sadly, and yet simultaneously also comically, lifted from RAWK.

That club, genuine Scousers apart, attracts the biggest collection of unhinged, socially inadequate weirdo supporters in football.

As others have previously said it's like a cult, and like any members of a cult its members have no idea how preposterous what they say and do appears to normal people.

They genuinely believe that club has some mystical presence to differentiate it from others in the game. Not just in subjective terms but as a very real spiritual manifestation.

It's one of the reasons the commercial exploitation of the Hillsborough Tragedy by the current owners has garnered such results for them, sadly. Make no mistake this is a big part of their business plan.

Unlike others on here I have tremendous regard for the City of Liverpool and its inhabitants, some of whom are among my closest friends, but that club has acted as a footballing honeypot for more people with serious pathological insecurities in search of an emotional crutch than any other club in football, united included.

Pathetic really.
Er; second biggest!

Nah, I get the sense Mourinho wanted to do one over on us, and credit to him he knew how to and we knew what you lot would do to (I mean Blues on here were just as frustrated by you lot at the Etihad). But yeah, I think he wanted to do us over, it's not a situation like your draw with the rags where he clearly didn't care about dropping points there (bet he would care about dropping points to City or Arsenal (lol) though).

Still on this point:

without the benefit of hindsight--in such a situation, do you change your entire way of playing or you go with what got you there? Not as easy as it sounds--although having seen what you did to City at the Etihad, perhaps that should've been a a warning. Now still going gung-ho 3-0 up at Palace...that was the real disaster IMO.
No doubt he did but he needed you to fall into his trap for it to work. At City we played our best 11. Against you he rested as many first team players as possible, especially our attackers. We couldn't have forced a win if Liverpool had decided to play conservative, and if we tried it would just open up legitimate opportunities for you to attack back with your vastly superior attackers. An end to end game is exactly what you would have wanted because you outgunned us significantly. All we could do was defend and capitalise on mistakes. We had mistakes to capitalise on because you tried to attack the bus. He just goaded you and it worked, and since you took the bait we played like Spartans because that's the type of match we thrive in. Though I agree Palace was the bigger disgrace.

Agree with Liverpool being foolish rather than playing for the draw when Chelsea sat back, but this was the biggest disgrace. The Palace match was the icing on the cake, but City just had to win their last game. Though always had a feeling their title hopes would be completely extinguished at Selhurst.

Just think what Mancini would of done with 125m he is a trophy winner! unlike Brenda

It's wonderful watching this unfold. Knowing just how little credit Mancini and subsequently Pellegrini received, and yet even in the short time since Mancini first arrived, we've seen multiple examples of big spending not achieving nearly what was even expected of us.

"Oh well they spent all this money, they should have got top 4"
"Spent all this money, should have won the FA Cup"
"So much money, should have won the league"
"Can't compete, all that money"

Charlatans like Rodgers can't hold a candle to managers like Mancini or Pellegrini, which is damning indeed for the manager of a club who can hold as many candles as they do.

Well said, mate. Rodgers is an imposter.
