Been really enjoying watching us again over the last two / three months – the quality of the togger has been almost on a par with the stuff that we were playing last season (albeit without the end product in some cases, given the absence of a decent forward with Sturridge still out / only just coming back).

Ever since Rodgers went with the 3-4-3 formation and ensured that all the main ball players can be accommodated in the team again (Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic) then it’s been great to watch.

A lot of last Summer’s signings – Moreno, Markovic, Can, Lallana - have now been integrated successfully into the team, most of the players are still young and developing, defensively there have been massive improvements and, with Sturridge now returning to full fitness, then hopefully the goals will start to flow again in the near future.......starting tomorrow, ideally.

Up the fucking reds!

Just watching BBC North West, they're interviewing Scousers about the 1967 Derby match. Whether it was planned or not I don't know, but they stopped an old fella and asked him whether he remembered the match, Yes he replied, I played I it. Turned out it was Tommy Lawrence, former Liverpool keeper. Flipping heck it made me feel old! For those who don't remember Tommy Lawrence he was the fattest goalkeeper you could imagine, made Neville Southall look under-nourished. Today he looks like he's 10 years older than he should be.
