Whether it was planned or not I don't know, but they stopped an old fella and asked him whether he remembered the match, Yes he replied, I played I it. Turned out it was Tommy Lawrence, former Liverpool keeper. Flipping heck it made me feel old! For those who don't remember Tommy Lawrence he was the fattest goalkeeper you could imagine, made Neville Southall look under-nourished. Today he looks like he's 10 years older than he should be.
Yeah that's right. I'd forgotten that.
Those were the days when Liverpool fans weren't quite the obnoxious twats they are now.

Haha so very true. They are slowly starting to poke their little twat heads out of their shells/arses or wherever they've been since Stevie slipped on his arse.blueinsa said:Vienna_70 said:Loaded Man said:Been really enjoying watching us again over the last two / three months – the quality of the togger has been almost on a par with the stuff that we were playing last season (albeit without the end product in some cases, given the absence of a decent forward with Sturridge still out / only just coming back).
Ever since Rodgers went with the 3-4-3 formation and ensured that all the main ball players can be accommodated in the team again (Sterling, Coutinho, Lallana, Markovic) then it’s been great to watch.
A lot of last Summer’s signings – Moreno, Markovic, Can, Lallana - have now been integrated successfully into the team, most of the players are still young and developing, defensively there have been massive improvements and, with Sturridge now returning to full fitness, then hopefully the goals will start to flow again in the near future.......starting tomorrow, ideally.
Up the fucking reds!
Just like rags, we only see red dippers on here when things are going well.
Lose a game or two, and they'll disappear like snow before the sun!
This.
The fucker thinks he is on RAWK!
"up the fucking reds"......TWAT!

Players can always get that windfall at about 25-28 which are the peak years. However that domino may fall soon, problem is once top young players are on top wages (see Shaw) every other promising 18 year old will want one. Look at Berahino who not only thinks he's already too big for WBA (which can be forgiven) but he's now acting like it and saying it (which is a disgrace IMO).
I think Sterling's on 30K, but so far either he or his agent find around 70K unacceptable. I don't get it, new improved deals can always be negotiated, Coutinho has just earned a performance related pay raise.
