Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers says there is "nobody better" than him to lead the club and "very much" expects to be in charge at Anfield next season.
The Reds are fifth in the Premier League and lost to Aston Villa in the FA Cup semi-finals last weekend.
Rodgers, 42, is the first Liverpool boss not to win a trophy inside three seasons in charge since the 1950s.
"Do I expect to be manager next season? Very much so, yes. I don't think there's anyone better," Rodgers said.
"That's the reality of how I see it. Three months ago I was a tactical genius, performing to a good level.
"We lost a couple of games, some important games, and now you're not so good. But that is football, that's what will happen, people will speculate.

Seems Todger has remembered he loves the sound of his own voice again, or he's feeling a bit of pressure.

I'm going for both.

Wish I wrote this, rodgers is a charmless clown . Goebbels would be jealous of his ability with spin turning black into white, sadly at some point the fool will be fired, until then just enjoy the 1960 USA self improvement rhetoric from a dated fool with shiny teeth and an ego much larger than his intellectual capacity.

Very well said.

I didn't mind him at Swansea, but the way he's been since arriving at Anfield makes me believe he was previously suppressing the monster inside.

He is an utterly appalling man.

Rodgers had worked under one of the biggest ego's in football so it's not really surprising it's rubbed off on the toothy one.

He's a peculiar man at a peculiar club with lofty ambitions not quite being realised but showing spasms of form and good results that yield hope but relent then to iffy performances not quite knowing what the solution should be. I hope he stays for our mirth.

He always reminds me of Wallace from Wallace and gromit when he talks.

He's got small man syndrome just like Chelsea and Spurs "legend" Andre "sore throat" Villas Boas.
