Roders yesterday:

“I can understand the supporters’ frustration,” said the manager, Brendan Rodgers. “You think about the journey they were on last year, the quality of the football they were watching. That for parts of this season hasn’t been there and as supporters you turn up wanting to see your team win and win well. Our job in the summer is to find the players who can make a difference.

Sooooo, does this mean that the transfer committee will be signing starters, proven match-winners and 'marquee' players? Or are Ings, Delph and Milner (calm down, you're missing the point) the players that will "make a difference"?

Was your tongue firmly in your cheek when you typed that ? I have visions of you wearing a black curly wig as you type. :-)

Nice one in today's "Times":

"Steven Gerrard says he wishes Rodgers had been in charge years ago. Gerrard's pre-Rodgers trophies: 10. Since Rodgers's arrival: none."

Nor for me, Jim.

Off the top of my head:

Dalglish, Keegan, Souness, Hughes, Clemence.

Heighway. McMahon, Callaghan
Case could also pack a beltin shot way back when!

he could, and Case was well known for having one of the hardest shots in football at the time, but his all round game was pretty one dimensional and can hardly be considered in any discussion of the top all time liverpool players..he might sneak in the the top 150...

Agreed. Remember a feature on 'Kick Off' the gist of which is that he was the only Liverpool player not to go on International duty when the Home Nations played. He was very much a peripheral, but effective, player.

Good points from both of you, to be honest, when I was posting his name it were more in mind of him being apart of previous great Liverpool teams and not so much a great all time Liverpool player.

I would however include Rush as one of their all timers...
