My God....

Echo Arena for an Istanbul reunion? Talk about milking history.

Why put Ten Year Anniversary? Why not just 10th Anniversary?

Anniversary means yearly celebration.

There is the whiff of slow terminal decline about them

there is also the whiff of fresh paint from the brand new kwik fit stand..to seat all the new fans eager to see lambert and henderson

Don't let us kid ourselves they have a huge global fan base similar to the rags and I see them now milking them the same way as the rags have done over the years.
It's big revenue.

And how long, in this throw away society, do you think that fanbase will last? Not for much longer, I would wager. People in Singapore, Australia, New Zealand etc. are not going to keep buying the shirts because their Dad's did.
They will follow whoever is successful.

granted.
but theres no point having a global fan base with only two star players.
little liverpoool will have to have to put much thought into next seasons plans.

How the fuck did a team with Steve Finnan, Harry Kewell and Mirlos Baras win the Champions League!

One would expect that they would follow a more successful team but from my experience here in SE Asia they were bigger than the rags in the 80's and they don't appear to have lost any support to this day.
Next season is crucial they get it right on and off the pitch.

It's because the dippers and the rags get very positive press coverage over here no matter what happens. Unfortunately, most of the press coverage that we get is usually negative and this turns away many would be fans. As I have said in other threads, until we get fair and unbiased coverage in the press we will find it difficult to grow the world fan base.
