Without that loathesome vampire they would not have got as far as they did. They were incredibly fortunate not to concede penalty after penalty with Skrtel's constant fucking shirt-pulling, and they didn't have anything else to play for except the league so subsequently they were fresher and had less injuries than the rest of us.

They didn't shut up shop entirely but they certainly didn't play like last season. I agree Southampton could have won if they had put the chances away but it doesn't alter the fact that Brenda was more circumspect after they took the lead.
