So with Klppety saying transfer fees are ridiculous I can only assume that Barcelona set the £145m fee?

I don't care what team you are but you don't sell your best players if you harbour any ambitions to win anything. Coutinho was an excllent player, any of the big teams would take him in a heartbeat, so for Liverpool to sell him simply tells everyone they got no ambitions to get to the next level.

Good player but Liverpool can replace him and more with that money

Nope.

They've just lost their best player and replaced him with a far-from-WC centre back for 75m.

Taken like for like, that leaves them with 67m to find a player of Coutinho's calibre and influence.

Best of luck with that in the current market where Pobga was 89m.

It also tells the likes of Salah the exact same.

That's him gone in the summer or next January then.

The dipstons can't get out of the cycle of selling their best and replacing them with inferior players.

By selling for such a fee they also inflate the market further and further deepen the aforementioned issue they have.

They're fucked.

It’s hard to keep top players when you don’t win anything. If you look at Suarez, Sterling and now Coutinho all sold in their prime (or with plenty more miles on the clock). Look at them this season- they may have a chance of the FA cup and a possibility of top four. I fail to see how Klopp has taken them further forward than Rogers to be honest.

Haven't they got to pay a similar amount for Keita in the Summer? So that would be pretty much all of the Coutinho money on VDV and Keita. If I were a Liverpool fan, I wouldn't be overly happy about that.
