But that's exactly why Liverpool don't win anything.

Hell, even Arsenal sell their better players, but at least they've won the PL, and recently 3 FA Cups.

It's like us selling Sergio, De Bruyne, Sterling and Jesus all for a profit.

Imagine how much we'd have made.

But our 'best players' don't want to leave.

And let's not forget, Liverpool have raided Southampton and bought their best players on numerous occasions.

Virgil van Dijk will become the sixth player to join Liverpool from Southampton, for a total cost of £166.5m, but how have the five previous buys worked out? ... The world-record fee for a defender means Liverpool have spent a total of £166.5million on Southampton players since the Summer of 2014.

SB, before I start you sound like a reasonable fan so this isn't aimed at you.

It's not hatred or feeling threatened, It's the sense of entitlement that oozes out of rag fans and your supporters that fucks City fans off. You've not won the league for coming up to three decades, yet every season it's your year. At least when we were crap we accepted it and didn't kid ourselves in to thinking otherwise.

Then there's "istry which means any player that chooses to go elsewhere or leave your club is a mercenary, as Liverpool fans find it hard to accept that your a selling club who cannot retain its best players. Suarez, Sterling, Coutinho and pretty soon Can have all gone to bigger better clubs where honours are more likely.

Then you read RAWK and read how we are buying the league and that we a morally corrupt club. FFS, we buy the best midfielder in Europe for 55 million, whilst you buy a bloke who played well for Celtic, had a good season and a half at Southampton and formed part of a Dutch defence that failed to qualify for the last two tournaments for 75 million. If that's not inflating transfers and chucking money at a problem I don't know what is.

The hypocrisy and arrogance is taken to a whole new level by large sections of your fans and to be honest after a while it starts to make your ears bleed listening to this misguided propoganda. What sort of fans buy and parade around in t shirts with champions on before they've won the league. Your club lives in the past, but fortunately time moves on and whether you like it or not we are the Premier Leagues biggest draw and your dominance on the 70's and 80's and your five European / CL wins does not give your supporters the right to look down their noses at City and make excuse after excuse as to why as a club we are leaving both the rags and yourself.

I'm not out to offend you, but the reasons I've referred too are why I have an issue with Liverpool's who like the other Premier League Cartel members are having a hard time with coming to terms with football in the year 2018.

PW, where were you before last August?

You’re one of the best posters on Bluemoon. Always insightful and eloquent.

As a bi-monthly visitor to Finland I can assure you Finnish people do not recognise themselves as Scandinavian. It's only referred to a Scandinavia country because ill-educated people have said it is millions of times and now it's accepted as fact.

Correct.

I have spent a lot of time in Finland, including working there for a year, and I’ve never once heard a Finn say that their country is a part of Scandinavia, though I’ve been told, quite forcefully, that it isn’t.

The Finns originated somewhere in what is now central Russia.

To be fair you paid high prices for players before the transfer market got heated. How much would a 22 year old Aguero cost now? How much is Sterling worth now? You didn't need to strengthen your attacking positions this season, Pep sorted your defence out with 3 defenders and a goalie and a defensive mid I believe? Your flair players were already in place.

Bernardo Silva is not a defensive midfielder; he is a creative midfielder. We didn’t buy a defensive midfielder, as we already had Fernandinho and Delphinho, though he’s turned out to be a better left-back.

Thought you guys weren't istry buffs?
history is about the good times and bad times, like winning the league and being relegated the season after (City not Liverpool) but you wouldn't know anything about as it was before you were elevated by buying your way out of the second division. I do believe that us as fans and a club would not just brush Hysel, which was a tragic event where 39 people died, under the carpet at the same time as bigging up Hilsborough
