Liverpool are actually 25 points and 33 goals behind us. (How can that last figure of 33 goals 22 in attack, 11 in defence be even possible with their free scoring attack? Could it possibly be less free scoring than ours? Surely not.) Indeed they actually finished this season with 1 less point than last season.
Kryptonite they may be to Pep's single-pivot attacking formation but they have real problems against teams that park the bus and don't give their forwards space behind their back line. Indeed I haven't seen much of an improvement in this aspect of their game this season. A big problem for next season as more teams are starting to play this way against them.
I think Klopp has seen the problem and he needs an AM like Silva (Fakir?) with guile who can pass - but one is not enough. Huge chunks of their team do not have the relevant skill set (Henderson, Milner to name but two). I think they'll improve but not as much as delusional Luverpool fans think. I think we'll drop 6 or 7 points too - though with a fully fit Sergio for the first time since December 2013 we may actually improve!
