Fucking Hell. When I see the Cult in action like this, I feel a bit sick. It's like they have employed Cambridge Analytica to promote them.

And frankly it shows how desperate they have become...
 
Aye, it does beg the question that if the atmosphere is sooo amazing and influential why have they only won the one League Cup in the last decade?

I wonder what Leeds United's atmosphere is like these days or Aston Villa? I remember ours at Maine road was amazing when we were absolute garbage.

That's the one thing these media darling clubs like Celtic, Rags & Liverpool will never know as it's all been success so we simply do not know what their fanbase is really like.

It would be great to see one of them relegated for a few years and see what happens - will never be allowed to happen of course.
 
In the pub red Scouse filled his bingo card in a oner, mane... never a sending off ,were all over you till that point, result down to that stupid decision,going to stuff us 3 ..1 at theirs and its great to have first leg at home,then shut up shop at the emptihad...yes still spewing that crap blah de blah etc.,you could not make it up,but somehow they do.Delusion taken to the next level,both barrels loaded when for when they get a rude awakening.

Because we had more tickets than we usualy got for the league games and City fans were well pissed of at getting attacked robbed and car and coach windows getting smashed City's lads were well up for it .Besides the game at Chelsea in Fa Cup 1971 i dont think i have ever seen a bigger mob of City fans who wernt going to roll over .and like the Chelsea fans the Scousers got the shock of there fuc*ing lives .MCFC Ok

Isn't that Salad bloke supposed to be trying to swing a transfer to Real Madrid after one good season?
Unless they find a way to stop the talk of their best players looking to move on AND then the transfer actually taking place they are merely running to stand still.
They are not building a team or even a squad, but acting as a feeder team for Real and Barca (just llike Southampton are their own feeder club).
Somebody there needs to seriously grow a pair and stand firm.
I can't see us standing idly by if there were musings made about bids for our players. I would hope, for example, if a bid was placed for KDB by Barcelona, then our heirarcy would launch a cash bid for Messi, clearly stating that the cash was available and at the same time stating that none of our players are for sale until we say they are.

They really are scraping the barrel. What the fuck has klipperty-klopp won since arriving at their club - the best part of fuck all, but he has lost 2 cup finals has he not ??

Klopps class - manipulate and milk the stupid anfield massive without actually providing any silverware, yep he’s got it nailed down that fella.
 
I've a well ingrained hatred of the scouse nation but I like their team. Forward thinking and attacking. Should be a good tie. If we want to win the CL we need to win these games. 17/18 team better placed than previous models so to do

In the League Cup they played Brentford in the 2nd round. The 2nd leg at Anfield drew a crowd of 9902. The same night, City - we were in the 2nd division at the time - played Torquay in our 2nd leg at Maine Road and the attendance was 14021.

Embarrassing stats for Liverpool considering they were one of the top clubs in the world at the time.

Even in the European Cup S/F that season they only managed to get 36k in a stadium that held around 45 ffs!

Compare that to City from the 99/2000 season to the last game at Maine Road not once did we have an attendance below 30k for a league game when our capacity was around 35k, and two of them seasons were in the 2nd tier!

And there's more. Fast forward to the 1991-92 season. This was Liverpool's first back in Europe after being banned for the previous 6 seasons - all other English clubs copped a 5 year ban but Liverpool were given an extra year - so you'd think their fans would be falling over themselves to get to Anfield for one of those famous "European nights under lights". Anyway, their first home game in that season's UEFA Cup against Kuusysi Lahti attracted a crowd of 17131. To be fair they got over 23000 in the next round against Auxerre but against FC Swarovski Tirol in the 3rd round they pulled in only 16007.

I think it's only fair to compare attendances that other clubs pulled in similar competitions from the same era so the season before that when the ban on all other English clubs was lifted Aston Villa played Banik Ostrava at Villa Park in the first round of the UEFA Cup. Attendance? 27317 - over 10000 more than Liverpool got a season later for their first round home match in the same competition. On the same night Villa were playing at home, United's first round first leg game in the ECWC at Old Trafford against Pecsi Munkas had an attendance of 28411.
