The addition of Fabinho and Keita will not pull back 25 points, they will need more, probably 3 more players.

We’ll be adding additions, better ones than Liverpool will. And most of our squad will get better, Unlike Henderson and Milner.

So we as City fans should not assume that we will be 25 ahead this time as well. Irrespective of whether Fabinho was their first choice or not, its a very good addition to the their team. They where 18 points behund at Christmas. 25 points behind at the end. So they slipped another 7 points!

They need to get a world class keeper to get closer for the title and another partner for VVD. Tall order.

With the way they play they could sign whoever they want in midfield and it won't make a blind bit of difference. "Energy" and "putting themselves about" is all Liverpool midfielders are asked to provide.

In their last 6 league games they picked up 9 points from a possible 18. I wouldn't call that picking up steam.
