This is my interpretation as well. They've been a selling club but have gone all in with the Coutinho money. If it fails this season they'll cash in all their valuable chips and revert to type

am laughing at all the people who think united and others will help us win the league by giving liverpool a game ??? even the ian cheeseman blog this week of the everton game when the everton fans was asked by ian they all said they wanted city to win BOLLOCKS sorry but you are not fans of your club and why bother going if you want the away team to beat your team. saying one thing to the camera is a question mark on fans, but am saying right now 100% they wanted everton to beat manchester city

liverpool or spurs or man city will win the league and nobody so called help but themselves winning games will get them over the line
 
I really hope Eddie Howe puts 10 men behind the ball and plays on the break, I have this gut feeling Bournemouth can get a draw tomorrow, the dippers aren't that good and other teams outside the top 6 are starting to realise this.

i remember city going to blackburn in there title winning season and winning 2.3 and city was great that night it was a live game on skysports and liverpool was singing and dancing united was singing and dancing thinking man city did them a big favor well blackburn won the league END OF STORY

I want whats best for us. At this moment in time, United beating Liverpool benefits us the most imo. Therefore I want United to stuff Liverpool.
 
Yeah it's true we say "help" but nobody is really gifting us wins, Everton definitely didn't. Teams wont be trying to beat Liverpool for our sake either, players raise themselves in games they know will have a lot of attention on them(felt like Walcott was doing that during the game for example). It's also that Liverpool are showing cracks now, they don't seem that invincible or that the football gods are quite as with them to some of the teams they have coming up, it's good timing really.

We can't get into the mindset that people want us to win that badly, we are just the lesser of two evils at best to most PL clubs supporters and they aren't the ones on the pitch. The players will still raise their games against us in high profile matches, just as they will against Liverpool, now that the title race has heated up. It's instant recognition, if you can fuck up someone's title tilt.

Anyone that doesn't want United to beat the scouse scum needs to grow a pair. United are irrelevant right now where as that scouse vermin are a real threat. City are the priority here not United or Liverpool. We need to support our own team rather than worrying about who we hate the most.
