Liverpool thread 2018/19

What you give is what you get. We were in title rivalries with Chelsea in recent years and there was no hatred at all. There was no hatred with Liverpool too back in 2014/15. They've started it out of nothing with bus attack last year and then with their vitriolic comments on their forums and social media when they realized we're still standing between them and their first title in 30 odd years. The way their ex players, turned pundits and social media "stars", acted against City was out of the order. That was not healthy rivalry thing, it was trying to kick this club to the death, belittling, humiliating even at it's very own stadium when welcomed professionally great.

I had lot of time for Liverpool when they were against Rags in 2000s, but guess I was not ITK back then. They are horrible set of fans. And them and their club deserve any bad feelings from City fans.
Agree with this.
Worth remembering that in 2014 the media were all over them. The media spin was 'do it for the 96 ' ( 25th anniversary of Hillsborough) , ' do it for Stevie' ( England captain who was retiring that year and had never won the Prem).
SSN was camped outside their ground on that two meter square of grass telling us how Brendan Rogers felt no pressure and was having the best nights sleep of his life.
Their bus top 'victory' parades in April were grovellingly covered.
We never got a mention. We were already consigned to history and the role of runners up.
And then there was the disgraceful coverage of their 3-2 victory over us at Anfield when Tyler was apoplectic when they scored but when we scored was subdued . I remember the last few minutes of that game when Henderson committed what could have been a 'leg breaker' tackle on Nasri and was sent off , but there was really no condemnation from the commentators, then from the free kick Skrtyle handled in the penalty area but no penalty was given , again with very little analysis or commentary. To top it all the Henderson sending off took two minutes up of the added on time but Halsey only added on forty seconds. But hey who cared.
And then Stevie did his party piece against Chelsea and we finished strong and won it and everything went quiet and it was all forgotten.
So yeah if at that point the fans hadn't shown the worst of themselves, the media were even then definitely well and truly up the dippers arses.

Why is this appearing on BM — I’ve not searched anything about Liverpool in months (and definitely not New Balance)...

...I’ve been sick all over my phone.

****ing location-based adverts. I really have to leave this godforsaken place.
I’ve just had one for a LFC branded coffee machine.

Just joined up to talk about next season's expectations but am surprised at the level of hatred dominating these pages at us. Anyway, I think we'll run you close again; no doubt City's squad is superior and Pep is such a great manager but I do think this has been a defining season for Liverpool and we'll be there are thereabouts again. I just can't see anyone else coming close to challenging.
Can't see this Liverpool side getting anywhere near City next year.
City won the league in 17/18 by a country mile topping 100 points.
We were told by all unsundry, that until we'd won 2 league's on the trot, we could never be classed as a great team.
I've still not heard any of those pundits / custodians / journalists actually say we're a great team yet, even though City have just won an unprecedented domestic Grand Slam.
This Liverpool outfit hasn't won a league in 30 odd years. That means they've got some distance to go to be classed as a great team.
As I've stated in a previous post, Liverpool need another Centre Half, 2 creative midfielders and another Centre Forward.
They may then be able to challenge City for the prizes.
Continuing to park the bus, a la, Mourinho, as they did in the European Cup Final, proves that it's as good as that backpass rule that gave them their previous successes

I especially liked the way he was too busy being the hard man from the safety of the other side of the fence to notice the two mounted police sneaking up on him, batons in hand.
It's a shame the video stopped.
Horse guy no. 2 was lining up another belt to the fat git.
Don't think that would've been the end of it either.

Salah has cured Islamphobia on Murkyside , Klopp has found a cure for cancer , Henderson and Milner have put their heads together with their shared braincell and have a solution for Brexit , a pity the Dippers winning a trophy only comes along every 15 years.
Don’t forget that Van Dijk invented defending
