Why people in Liverpool are so angry at 'Tory chants' from Man United fans

Peter Mcpartland said: "Just a reminder that you're a massive Tory if you sing feed the Scousers or any song that mocks the economic status of other football fans.
Joe Turner added: "Tory Man United fans singing “feed the Scousers” when there’s thousands relying on food banks this Christmas. Stay classy fellas."
"There is a humanitarian crisis on our streets which transcends football rivalries and I hope the supporters of both Manchester clubs reflect on the bigger picture over Christmas when citizens of both great cities will be struggling due to Tory Austerity and casualisation of the Labour market.
The chant uses the tune of the famous Band Aid song 'Do They Know Its Christmas' - but uses the lyrics 'Feed the Scousers, let them know it's Christmas Time' - in a bid to mock those within the city who are struggling to afford food.
And while it has been used many times before, a number of people took particular offence at its use this weekend - with parts of the city involved in a 'humanitarian crisis' - and foodbanks in Liverpool under huge demand to ensure families do not go hungry this Christmas.
Even Manchester United fans took to social media to call out the offensive chant.

But it’s fucking sweet to go round bricking other club’s coaches.

These ****s are from another planet.

We were singing it as well. Don't know why he's so offended, if it came down to it and Liverpool was starving, we'd only feed the blue scousers.

And therein lies the problem I have with dippers. The hypocrisy of the club and their supporters knows no bounds. They mock the rags about the Munich Air crash whilst being outraged about Hillsbrough chants. Allow no judgement for Heysel or any other carnage they caused (including getting all English clubs banned from European competition) yet think we should be banned for spending too much money... smash up our bus yet are hysterical and again outraged by the hammering they took from Roma fans, who were clearly expecting similar treatment.

History means nothing when it comes to their lack of recent success yet everything when it comes to belittling us as a club.

I don't agree with most of the above behaviour but if you dish it out you have to be able to take it.
