After spending a quarter of a billion pounds in the transfer window and setting world record transfer fees for central defenders and goalkeepers, I think the least you should be expecting is to have "a squad".

I mean we sold Coutinho don't forget. Also you're not wrong, yes so I'm glad the 250m was well spent.

Whats the general consensus amongst match going fans ? Klopp recently came out with a statement that was probably just flippent, but with your squad much better are you now demanding trophies ?

I said last season and earlier this season, imo that klopp needs to win the league title either this season or next at the latest

I really wish we'd have won Europa that one season we lost to Sevilla. I think good to win a trophy when we haven't for so long. I'd take 4th and League/FA Cup over 2nd.

But also modern fans just seem to not care, and I'm not even that old (mid-30s). Look at a team like Spurs or Everton....not sure they care about winning the League Cup which is weird. Maybe part of it is Wembley's lost it's mystique. I do miss the romanticism of the game sometimes.

But we need to win the league. We'd have seemed likely this year, but there's the small problem of a Pep returning with a 100point title winning team--like you could make the EPL like how Juventus has made Serie A as long as Pep is around.

Ah, the mythical bottomless pot of Coutinho money, how much of it has been spent now? 320m?

Don't know or particularly care, I prefer being a football fan than an accountant :)

To the extent that the club is not in an existential danger, this "oil money", "sugar daddy", "net spend" stuff is a distraction for me.
