Firstly as much as you may loathe them they managed to overcome Barca after a great comeback. i thought 3-0 flattered them in the first leg as Barca were fortunate to get a worldie free kick and then caught Liverpool trying to get the away goal Barca are certainly nowhere near the force they were 4-5 years ago FIRSTLY In the transfer market with 1 or 2 exceptions they have invested in good but not great players Secondly they have little competition with Real now very average after Ronaldo left ( he carried them for the last 2-3 years) Thirdly the improvement of our league The passion pace and brilliance of our very own City and tbf they have endeavoured to match us point for point competition makes you stronger and with money sloshing around our ieague even our average teams have improved greatly

You realise it’s the belittling of our club from all directions that has caused the hatred? Dicks like John Aldridge and Jamie carragher given public platforms to slag us off, carragher wandering through our stadium taking the piss for the cameras. In an ideal world he’d have been locked in an empty room with our security team and givien a right good twatting and told to fuck off and never come back. Bus wrecking and special welcomes also deserve a mention
Exactly. Respect is a two-way street, and these ****s have shown us precisely zero over the last few years. It could all have been so different if they'd wanted it to be.

There’s a needle between the fans now that probably won’t go away. There’s no problem with that. I don’t like their fans and I don’t like their club and i’ll Call them out every time they go on about oil money or history or empty seats etc.

But their team and their manager are absolutely brilliant. Think how good we are yet they are in the CL final and they still have a very realistic chance of winning the PL. At worst they’re gonna finish a point behind potentially the greatest team in PL history.

Trying to find ways to ridicule their season isn’t a good look. At the start of the season if someone said we’d win a treble and them the CL we’d both be over the moon. They might yet win the double!

Is it safe to come out of hiding yet?

I've walked the dog in the pissing rain, been for a haircut and actually talked to the missus for an hour or so .... no telly, no papers, no radio but did see a couple of blokes in Leigh who'd managed to dig their Liverpool tops out of storage!

Standing ovation for this post.

The amount of bitterness in some of the posts on this and the Spurs thread is a joke. This season City have been unbelievable in their quality and their consistency, but so have Liverpool. There is a fag paper between the two teams, and whoever comes out on top at the weekend will deserve it only slightly more than the other. The best result for all would be for City to win the league and Liverpool to win the CL because it would be unlucky in the extreme for them to not finish this season with a trophy of some sort.

To add to this Spurs who have at times matched the quality of the City and Liverpool but just don't have the depth of squad (particularly given the frailness of Kane) to deliver it on a more consistent basis.

A great season, two genuinely and equally great teams and if you can't see that then i feel sorry for you because you are missing out on how great football can be.

I can see it, quite a lot on here can. Then take a trip to Rawk read their thread on City.

So, has the narrative that they always wanted to get to the final and the PL doesn’t matter begun yet?

If we win the prem and they win the CL I think narrative the press will go with is that each club has actually won the trophy that the other one covets most (that's not my view btw, I was absolutely desperate to retain the league this year as I think it's a huge achievement in this era. Cup competitions require a bit of good luck and good timing. The CL will come at some point eventually)

Honestly Klopp won with origi shaqiri Henderson Milner. His attacking force Was injured

With bottom of my heart, this players are sunday league players. U have to give them credit it's unbelievable stuff

Great result for them but Barcelona has taken walking football to a new level, thought the dippers were mugged in the first leg as well.
Only saving grace being they don't seem to travel very well and as the final is an away game they still might have some mental block to overcome.
Bet Suarez regrets that sly kick now, changed the match with milner coming out of the midfield.

He's going to earn 16 million euros a year there

If my maths is right about £280,000 a week, a bit above par maybe, but as a career move, I still think he might regret it. We've seen it many times, once a top team go over the hill, which if looks like Barca have it can take a hell of a time to get back.

Too many people giving them credit on here. Fuck em, I hope we finish the job domestically at the weekend and all their senior players go down with a virus the day before the final and their kids get beaten 12-0 by Ajax.
Exactly, its fuckin pretty hard reading blues post giving these ****s any sort of praise. It might make me sound bitter but I care not one fuck. Their Club, fans, ex players and media supporters detest us, and without saying it in front of the camera their players do too, all part of the Cult.
