So, if he was Liverpool's Manager, and if he was asked the question now, he'd probably say, 1 trophy +2.

But yes, I accept your point. A trophy is a trophy.

Unfortunately Liverpool's fan base is constantly in flux, continually moving the goal posts to suit their agenda.

Last season the CL was more important than the PL title. Really? This season the PL title will be more important than the PL, especially if City win the CL.

And if City do win the CL, which is a very big if, that old Scouse chestnut will come out once again. "We've won it 6 times"

"City won't be a 'big club until they've won Big Ears 3 times"

"City have bought success and their recent trophies"

"City aren't European Royalty"

Etc, etc....

The problem is, Liverpool fans never give other teams or clubs any credit. But they expect nothing less than constant credit for Liverpool's past trophy successes, even if they were decades ago.

Once Liverpool fans start giving other clubs and teams the credit they rightly deserve and start showing some humility, then Liverpool fans might start being liked once again, instead of being constantly ridiculed for the comments they constantly come out with.

Most Liverpool supporters would have settled for league title last season. Win that and it takes away about 50% of ammunition from opposition supporters.

I see the owners of Boston Red Socks and also Littlewoods have sacked their manager for cheating,wonder if Littlewoods cheat.

I am not sure if you are aware but the man they have sacked for cheating was found guilty of cheating at his previous club, it would appear the main reason for the Red Sox to employ him was to carry on with his cheating ways. Where he went wrong and no doubt the reason for his dismissal was due to the fact he got caught (again) and so they sacked him. Mind you, this story has nothing to do with the other act of cheating Red Sox were found guilty of as he was not employed by them at the time.

Oh and in case you are wondering, neither of the offences the Red Sox committed involved the Scout 7 system employed by Premier League clubs. That is a different case of cheating. I accept that it is getting very confusing so to simplify, everything Fenway Sports are involved in seems to revolve around cheating.

Or that they don't like getting caught out. They knew he was a cheat when they signed him, he had just been sacked for cheating, stealing signals, and guess what, that is what Fenway sacked him for. A leopard cannot change its spots, a cheat is a cheat ad those that employ cheats condone it.

No, it was in a swimming pool. Firmino was with Alisson, his wife and a priest, and a load of spectators - they all had these black t-shirts on so I think they were part of the same church. Firmino got dunked under the water and I think he had to say a prayer, and then he and Alisson and his wife had a group hug and Alisson cried. Apparently Alisson is a member of some evangelical church and he's got Firmino into it.

Also, the fans are planning to do to Man United's team coach what they did to your team's.

I discussed that! If we win the CL we might face it as an issue. We would have a lot of young players who might want a challenge but I think as a club we would be able to cope if that did happen. If Liverpool win the league they could see Mane, Salah, Firmino and Van Dijk look for new challenges. I think they still are very reliant on those players and have been fortunate to have them generally injury free for the past few seasons.

Exactly, has to work both ways. As shit as it is I don’t see why anyone would leave them at the minute. They will be paid well, all love the manager and are at the top of their game. I hope I’m wrong though.

Yeah, I think it's wishful thinking that this team will be dismantled after winning the title. They're going to be our main challengers for the foreseeable future.

AFCON next year and the world cup the year after will have an effect for them, probably more so than us to be honest. Salah and Mane both off for 4 to 6 weeks could be a problem for them.

I can see them investing in their forward line again to compensate, rumours of Kai Havertz in summer, but any change brings about instability.

I do not think they'll win it back to back.

There was AFCON this Summer gone and that's not harmed them this season, so wouldn't bank on that.

I wouldn’t say “dismantled”, however I think it’s fair to assume that FSG may well choose to sell a prime asset and bring in a big lump of cash, being their business model. Consequently, clubs like Madrid and Barca may well fancy trying to lever out a player like VVD, Salah or Mane.

Even if they lost some players, their scouting has been excellent and with the extra money they now have, and insane transfer fees they'd get, I'm sure they'd manage good replacements.

Quite a big difference between a tournament happening in the summer and a tournment happening mid-season.

If they lost Mané, Salah, Keita and maybe Matip for at least 5 league matches, (plus if the go there, the FA Cup 4th round and League Cup semi finals) would definitely hurt them, they'll have to compensate with new signings.

Just losing Yaya cost us the title in 2015 and probably 2013 too.
