It seems they booed the national anthem as they felt that Liverpool was badly treated by the elitist establishment when they were suffering to achieve what others could with better finances......

Meanwhile lording it over Citeh for not being part of the elitist establishment.

YCMIU !
They are weird aren’t they?
They want respect for being ‘European royalty’ then they boo a song which celebrates and glorifies royalty.

That's hell of a first post

So the vast majority of City fans value the PL over ECL, 38 games v all your opponents against 14 v some of your opponents. The league is a true measure of how good the team is rather than a seeded knock-out competition The winners of last season's ECL lost 4 matches of those 14 not a great claim to being the Champions of Europe imho

For me if you dont win your league and you win the champs league its less of a trophy.

A true champions league winner is a team that wins there domestic league end off.

I will say something that may surprise you but I think Liverpool is the best thing that happened for us in Pep's era.I hate them more than anything else for sure, but I think they help us to maximum our potential. The competition between the 2 clubs pushes us further and further to improve and I love it.

Nahh they didnt push us to the 100 points its all Pep why we so good.

Cant disagree competition is good stops any complacency would be good to have a few mores teams, conditional on City coming out on top of course

Scary thing for them is they think Plopp is on the same level. He's a good manager who clearly has helped them reach their potential, but he's not as good. In the same was Wenger wasn't on Bacon Face's level. Their inability to accept reality is what hinders them IMO

Still think klopp is an excellent manager 97 points was unbelievable and they have a great team also

Where has all this shit come from about the dippers going for 7 trophies. They couldn't handle 3 last year. It should be us going for 6. Now fuck off you scouse wankers.

If I'm not mistaken, Liverpool are the only English team to have contested 7 trophies in a season and not win any. That was 1984-85:

Charity Shield - lost to Everton
UEFA Super Cup - lost to Juve
League Cup - lost to Spurs in the 3rd round (that was after needing extra-time in the 2nd leg to beat Stockport County at Anfield in the previous round)
World Club Championship - lost to Independiente
FA Cup - lost to Uhited in the semi-final
First Division - runners-up to Everton
European Cup - lost to Juve in the final

I love their delusion. There’s no doubt they were the better side second half yesterday but only because we used it as a fitness exercise, that’s not an excuse, it was clear as day for everybody to see, we had players literally on their arses and ready made replacements on the bench and still didn’t use them. if we had utilised our subs to keep our game at the highest tempo possible as Liverpool choose too, the second half would have been very similar to the first if not more dominant for us given its widely accepted our depth is greater than theirs.

Their inability to see this or refusal to accept it (im not sure which it is with them) is amazing. they’re all just acting as if the first half didn’t happen and the second half was all the evidence you needed that they’re just as good if not better than us. Not that I’d take too much from that game anyway for the season ahead but if I was unfortunate enough to be a Liverpool fan I’d be more concerned with their first half performance and how easily they were taken apart at times without City ever really getting into 3rd gear than their better fitness levels.
