Their main problem against both W Ham and Watford wasn't tactical but physical. In almost every game they can raise the intensity to levels impossible to deal with for most teams. They were lacking in intensity which made them a bit slow and predicatable, and opened up spaces for counter attacks.
The key to Liverpool's succes is superior intensity which helps them suffocate the opposition and dominate in the dying minutes. Since the start of January they are struggling a bit to finish games strongly and the problem seems to have deepened after the break. They could/should have dropped points much earlier: against Spurs, Wolves...even Southampton created many chances at Anfield.
Yes, odd how their intensity has dropped. They look normal again now. Wonder what’s happened...
