Yep, that's another transfer that gets forgotten or excused away because of the Fernando Torres transfer to Chelsea. £36.9m(would have been reported as £37m for City) for a player worth nowhere near that, is obviously market inflation in action, no matter where the money comes from.

They paid more for him than City did Aguero, which according to footy leaks, wasn't the £36m that was reported but £28.5m plus £3m in add-ons, coming to £31.5m overall.

Transfermrkt haven't updated the transfer fee though and I suppose it would be a bit rich to start quoting footy leaks as a reliable source, as a City fan. Either way, we paid less and Aguero was actually worth at least that widely reported amount, after the bar the Ronaldo transfer set 2 seasons earlier.

Quite annoying, that all of the above has been erased from the "'istree" books.
