I saw one the other day. FKW and a medal round his neck. Something to be truly pitied.
The thing is, we none of us are surprised at this because it's to be expected. Everybody knows if there is a way a club can embarrass itself to the point of open ridicule it's them.
Just when you thought they had finally hit rock bottom, just when you thought they had plummeted to the depths and reached the very nadir of crassness, they pull another stunner out of the bag - like this one.
You'd have thought that over the years they would have learned from bitter experience how not to cause themselves unnecessary embarrassment. You would have thought that publicly backing a racist (with a penchant for biting people) and making tee shirts to celebrate this fact would have been an act of such devastating self-humiliation they would hang their respective heads in shame for many many years to come...but no. Not the dippers.
Onwards they go, stumbling from one monumental faux pas to another, like a red liveried Inspector Clouseau. Chaotic and destructive.
This is a football club that at one time had people shrugging their shoulders as a gesture of total indifference at whatever the club did, the Dippers were not important anymore. But now, within a relatively short period of time, they have become the most disliked club in the English Premiership. Utterly despised by football fans the world over because of their refusal to accept any responsibility for the many tragic events that have taken place so often in their murky past.
Universally loathed by football fans for the constant beneficial VAR decisions that have GIVEN them the Prem this season. The diving, the fouling, the petulance and childishly intimidatory tactics they employ in order to gain an advantage.
No. We should not be one bit surprised that a fan, a representative of the club, a fully grown adult, likes to walk about in his replica kit with a makeshift 'medal' hanging around his neck and post the evidence on a social forum.
Whatever happened to care in the community?
