Liverpool's owner John Henry says the club are "focused on winning the Premier League next season", after missing out on the title by a single point to Manchester City in 2018/19.

The title race went down to the final day of the Premier League season last term, a 2-0 victory at home to Wolves was not enough to prevent Pep Guardiola's side from sealing back-to-back top titles, after they defeated Brighton 4-1 on May 12.

Lifting the Champions League for the sixth time in Liverpool's history after a 2-0 win against Tottenham in Madrid just under three weeks later helped dispel any lingering disappointment from the finale to the Reds' Premier League campai
Henry, who attended the final at the Wanda Metropolitano on June 1, says that continental success is more important to him as an owner, but insists that Liverpool have the ability to end a near 30-year wait for a domestic league title.

"To me winning in Europe is bigger than winning in England but I think it's true the fans want it," Henry said.

"I know we're going to be focused on winning the Premier League next year."

Comment from a dipper in the fail following a story about JWH saying they are priority is winning the league next season

Golden Gloves winner, TWO Golden Boot winners and Champions of Europe.. Not too bad

Looks like they beat us to the quadruple....

One of their Golden Boot winners only got a share of the award because the offside goal he scored in the last game against Wolves wasn't spotted by the officials. And the other one only got a share because of diving for penalties which he scored from.

Couldn't give a fuck about the C/L

I do. I want to win every comp we enter every season. Winning 80% of the trophies we went for last season was excellent though. 198 pts in 2 seasons was awesome and the fact that the dippers got 97 and are only the 3rd highest points total team in PL history is fucking hilarious - I want us to dick them again next season - by 1 point would be piss funny too.

And they laugh at our club claiming the Community Shield as a trophy? Fucking gloves and boots???

they was singing from christmas and now your gonna believe us were gonna win the league hahahaha sadly for them the title is not handed over at christmas after 19 games

But the deluded fuckers were ten points ahead around then, and there was no way City were going to make up that gap.

La.

We took 4 points of them were competitive in 4 competitions won 3 of them , the first team to win the domestic treble. They were competitive in 2 competitions, threw 2 competitions and won 1 competition. How the hell can they say winning a knock out cup is better than winning your league, still the press keep saying it and those daft twats keep believing when we all know what City achieved was so superior to them.

It's funny because we lost 4 times in the league they do think they were better , but point out we only lost once in the champions league and they lost 4 times and how can a team that lost 4 times be the best in Europe when we only lost once so we are the best team in Europe lol

Doesnt matter how many times you lose it's about finishing first !!

We lost twice in the CL; first group game to Lyon and at Shite Hart Lane.
