Alisson Vs Ederson is a good debate. Van Dijk is up there with the best but form has dropped this year. TAA is fantastic as an attacking FB but plenty to learn in defence which would be a definite weakness on Sunday. Robertson, not as good in attack but still good. Much better defensively than Trent.
As Drubas said, it's because of your injuries I'd be more hopeful as the teams are more balanced. Sane always made me very nervous so I'm glad he's a threat that we won't have to worry about.
Your midfield is savage. I imagine D Silva will be available as well as B Silva, (which would've been ridiculous if he was banned imho). Fabinho will have his work cut out for him.
Hoping it doesn't turn ugly, on or off the pitch, and may the better team on the day win.
Well, I'm hardly a Scouser. Anyway, the end of the season marks 30 years. If, (God forbid), Liverpool did win the league this year, it would get to 29.99999 years without winning and then reset to 0. If this has complicated things we'll just drop it.

Sorry but I am still a bit confused. So are you a Pool supporter or not? Genuine question.

I'm not sure it matters if you win it but it will still have been 30 years since your last title.

But you did say god Forbid if Pool win. Any reason why or am I misreading your post?
Oh that was just in response to being told repeatedly that we'll bottle it or something along those lines. I most definitely would like Liverpool to win the league.

Yea, that's fair enough. I don't know why I'd looked at it that way. I think I saw it as a counter on us not winning the league so once it's just about to hit 30 years it goes back to zero. It's just semantics anyway and doesn't really warrant much discussion. We can both agree that 30 years is a long time without winning a league. Yea, cup comps are great, especially in Europe, but it's always the League first. Separates the boys from the men.

Don't know how you reach such conclusions but knock yourself out. One other thing I find really baffling is how most City fans struggle with the fact that clubs like Liverpool, Man U, Arsenal have supporters that don't have any connection to the City of these clubs but rather for their love for the clubs. It's a curious thing to see people struggle to understand this.
It's more like City fans struggle to understand how a set of fans from Liverpool and United have the gall to call City fans plastic so often these days. When the vast majority of the fans saying it, are closer to the original definition of plastic/glory hunter. Which was probably first coined for Liverpool fans after their success in Europe gained overseas fans(70s-80s) and later United fans after the 90s and the PL worldwide "brand" and broadcasting changed English football. Not for the better according to some football historians. Even our new fans wont be supporting the club because they believe we are the biggest or the most popular because City fans never brag about any of that. I know which clubs' fans do like to do that though.

Also that reminds me, I can't remember who it was but Talksport had a guy(proper football historian) on saying all of this, with regards to when money really "ruined the game"(in the 90s). I seem to remember they sounded like they regretted having him on, barely engaging with him. I think he's written a book about it, maybe someone here remembers the full details.

I think it was a fair conclusion as clearly, you don't know your arse from your elbow with regards to football

The FA then need to warn LFC that if their fans attack City's coach they will be deducted points and forefeit the match.

I think the Chairman should write today to the Premier League with copies to Liverpool FC, Merseyside Police and all Press Outlets. Say that the last time this happened there was very serious damage to the coach and that serious injuries, even death, could have resulted. That MCFC value our players' and staff's safety above everything, even trophies. And that, therefore, in the event of any similar incident, the coach will return immediately to Manchester, the game will not be played, and MCFC will accept whatever consequences arise.

Completely agree and said that City's powers that be should be in dialogue with the FA in the Pre match thread. I would though slightly alter your last sentence to read MCFC will fight whatever consequences arise

I work on Merseyside and have to work with mainly LFC fans on a daily basis. They are unbelievable. They say Man City have forced the rivalry with them. My argument is why would we force a rivalry with a club that has been largely unsuccessful since our period of success started. We've had them twice in the last five years which has caused massive paranoia amongst their beloved club and fanbase. Nope....apparently we've forced it because we're jealous of their success as the most decorated English club. Allison is way better than Ederson, Van Dijk is the best defender in the world as is Alexander Arnold also Robertson. You literally can't have any kind of reasonable football debate with them. It's impossible. There is zero point e trying to reason with them over anything. They are insufferable to put it mildly. Please for the love of god I hope we win on Sunday.

How can City force a rivalry with a club that’s not finished above them in 2009?

Its not the love of the clubs, it’s the love of success and taking a short cut towards it by supporting the team that wins everything. If these 3 clubs had not had a period of success would these fans who support from 100s or 1000s of miles away still be interested in supporting them?

If you aren’t a scouser what reason other than trophies would you support Liverpool for? We support City as we have grown up with them being absolute shite and never abandon the team from our City, why the fuck would I want to support a team 100s of miles away I can’t go and watch and don’t have any connection too?

Klipperty has said he's not going to mention tactical fouling after Pep called out Mane for diving.I should think he won't because Milner and Henderson are the biggest exponents of it in the history of the game .what a prick.Hope we make the turning **** swallow his dentures on Sunday

Totally agree. They are desperate to be relevant and currently because there team is decent it is them that has fabricated this bullshit rivalry.....it is consistently there fans online stating there players are better....6 times laaaa etc etc....it is laughable

The whole episode of the coach attack goes to show how this lot want to stir up a rivalry both at games and on social media

How the hell can we be jealous of there success ?? We are consistently winning trophies every season. The truth is in another 20-25 years we actually could be the most successful team in england

And that is what they are scared about
