John, your'e right, its a massive blow, we know that from experience. The problem is how Klopp gets it back on track. I don't think it's just the centre backs, but the fatigue. He needs to manage what he has left better and he may have to sacrfice the CL (he may not have a choice) to enable the club to qualify for next seasons CL. The club have already qualified for the majority of this seasons payment and there are no other cups to worry about.
You'd probably know better than me but, the team spirit seems a bit off too - maybe its the fatigue?

The irony is they could qualify for next year’s champions league by scraping another 7 wins in this year’s competition or even include a few draws in that. Maybe they should sacrifice the league and pin all their hopes on the cup to qualify as winners

i mean just why ? why would any football fan think that ? its bonkers ! Every single team is playing under the same circumstances , Why the hell do they think they deserve a rest and no other teams do ? Compassionate grounds why whats happen to the team ? I can understand klopp having compassionate leave but the whole team. Fucking hell my brain just dont understand that point of view. Surly if klopp has compassionate leave his number two takes over, not the whole fucking team gets two week compassionate leave. Unbelievable Geoff !

I didn’t think of it as a plea for a break on compassionate grounds for Klippety. Maybe it was, but I took it to mean on compassionate grounds for the team to have a rest to rediscover its form.

Yep. Nike binned you because there was no value for them in continuing with the affiliation - literal bargain bucket merch eventually given away every year - whereas we are on the verge of being the most marketable club in England. They want a couple of their top boys wearing our kit, makes sense really.

2 European Cup finals and a league title in the past 3 years while generating our own money and competing domestically with the most expensive squad in football history suggests ours model is a prosperous one and its taken a freak season with freak injuries to temporarily derail us.

They say every Scouser is a comedian. Well there is definatly one here!
Liverpool (it seems) are the only club to have players out injured.
City had Laporte and Sane out for all of last season (Scousers may well recall Sane's injury.....) and we just got on with it. No bleating and crying about it

As I said, give it to them, none of their injury list will be back in a fortnight and it'll be piss funny watching them try to deal with the fixture congestion later in the season and could easily end up costing them CL.
