I've said currently their 'heavy metal' is Metallica.

Not particularly heavy, not particularly good compared to lesser known peers, but for some reason has a slavish following.

They go on about "winning it 6 times", as though that's the only trophy that means anything. I was thinking about this last night and it's a trophy you can win without winning a single game (at least in 90 minutes).

In the group stage, of the 4 teams, Team A draws every game 0-0, gaining 6 points. Team B wins the other 4 games they play, drawing the two against A, and win the group with 14 points. Teams B & C therefore draw 2 against Team A and lose 2 to Team B, then each wins against the other, giving them both 5 points each. So Team A, without scoring a goal or winning a game, go through to the last 16.

In the knockout stage, they draw 0-0 at home and 1-1 away, winning the tie. They do the same in the QF and SF, meaning they've got to the final without winning a game and scoring just 3 goals. The final is 0-0 after extra time and they win on penalties. 13 games, 13 draws and 3 goals scored. That would get you relegated in the PL. Don't get me wrong, I'd be delighted to win it but winning the league is a far harder ask and much more of an accomplishment.

The greatest British manager ever, Brian Clough, said that he would rather win the First Division than the European Cup, as it was then, because the league is/was a much sterner test of a team’s consistency.

Anyone know the percentages of those averages for season ticket holders from the home cities that the 2 clubs play in? Only, I read somewhere - might've been an Everton fan - that less than 6000 Liverpool season ticket holders are from Liverpool

5832 season ticket holders at liverpool have a local postcode. you can spin stats however you want i guess but truth is that out of the 27,000 plus available it leaves a lot for out of town / tourists to be catered for.it works out at roughly half their capacity. everton have 25,000 with local postcodes around 31,330 in total from a 39,414 capacity

If you want a true insight into a dippers psyche then I suggest you have a re-listen to H&J on talksport there was a scouse comedian (yeah I know they all are) called Adam Rowe who came out with the full dipper bullshit bingo he of course mentioned a lack of fans at orc central as an issue as they win them them games they shouldn't be able to normally one such game he mentioned was the 3-0 against us in the champs league he did omit a certain coach welcome.

Its against the law isnt to go out for a coach welcome. You are only allowed out for work, medical, or food. If any fans turn up the police should nick them and issued with a fine.
