I would fucking love them to finish 6th and for those two detestable little weasels Robertson & Alexander-Arnold to be plying their trade against the likes of TNS and LASK.

“European Royalty” on a trawler boat somewhere between Estonia and Finland ready for a Thursday 6pm kick off against some team that uses every letter of the alphabet.

Heavy metal football never sounded so quiet.
Speaking of heavy metal football, the fucking Birdie Song packs more of a punch than Liverpool's recent displays!

So who are we watching tonight ? Barca v PSG,or scousers v Leipzig ? Probably start with scousers and when they start to lose switch to Barca to see how Messi is playing . Nip back to enjoy scousers losing at the end of their match and watch Klipperty wipe away a few more tears.

City average attendance 18/19 season 54,130

Cult average attendance 18/19 season 52,983
Anyone know the percentages of those averages for season ticket holders from the home cities that the 2 clubs play in? Only, I read somewhere - might've been an Everton fan - that less than 6000 Liverpool season ticket holders are from Liverpool

From when we moved to East Manchester up until the season prior to the arrival of Abu Dhabi...

2003/04 to 2007/08 five season average att~

Manchester City FC 43,401
littlewoods FC 43,324

...the best finish we had during that period was 8th, whilst we spent at least some of each, bar the last one, of those seasons looking in danger of relegation. The club hadn't got a pot to piss in after mortgaging the future to pay for the parts of the move where the onus fell on us, and then funding the retirement plans of ex dippers like fatso fowler and mcminimum...we were then reduced to signing players like Corradi, Trabelsi and Dabo. There's also a full season under the 'stewardship' of all round gormless plank Stuart fucking Pearce in there as well.

Compare that to a worst finish of 5th place... in short a team in contention for at least a top 4 finish in each of those seasons... and the result you come up with that we are an apparently poorly supported small club.

It should also be noted that the people who make the latter statement about us probably also believe that we were in the third division when we were taken over, having heard something about us being in the third tier in our history

Staggering ignorance that a single outlier season in our history continues to define us for so many. And that includes some City fans

I just wish that people would stop taking the piss out of them. They have had injuries at an almost biblical level this season and the players that they could field are all struggling with asthma. If VVD was playing they would not have let in a single goal all year. The have done brilliantly!

None of that depleted starting 11, that they had to field against us, would be in their first choice 11.
