A dipperpool player gets injured. That's it. So why the fuck are the media trying to turn it into some earth-shaking tragedy on a par with 9-11?

All over the world sportsmen get injured: day in and day out. Some are serious, some are not, but it happens. Anyone who has ever played a contact sport has suffered some kind of injury, it's part of the game. Unfortunate, but that's the way it is. And while it may be a big thing for the club itself, how serious is it, how long will he be out etc, the rest of the world doesn't particularly care. So how come our media are treating vain dick's injury like fucking Armageddon?

A grassy knoll in Dallas was worthy of universal news coverage, as was a Parisian tunnel crash: men walking on the moon was also incredibly newsworthy, and maybe even the collapse of the Berlin Wall merits global attention. But a footballer getting injured in a game?

Absolutely fucking nauseating.

All I've heard all week is reference to the two Everton challenges, I''ve heard absolutely nothing about the following;

Mane playacting and rolling around with zero contact to the head = poor sportmanship possible yellow
Mane purposefully throwing out a trip no where near the ball = red
Robertsons shirt pull in the first half = yellow
Robertsons two footed lunge to an everton players calf off the ball = Red

Henderson boldly stating that VAR officials "bend the lines on offside to get the decision they want". = ban

Is it the same leg as the Achilles tendon rupture he had? That would make it even harder for him to rehab and put early loads back through his knee, never mind playing to his previous levels.

I did my Achilles 12 years ago now and it doesn't take much cold weather to remind me of a twinge or the tendon isn't quite perfect anymore.
Just the one achilles you lucky sod?

Sure I saw somewhere this morning (can’t remember if it was Facebook or Twitter) that the rats had asked for permission to sign a centre half outside of the transfer window due to the circumstances of the injury? Might have been a wind up piece as I can’t find it now, did anybody else see it?
