The hissy fit they're throwing over this just shows you how rarely they've actually had match-changing decisions go against them.

EsPN journo has said that VAR didn't look at the challenge.

It couldn't have been a penalty beacuse it was offside.

If viewed as violent conduct or serious foul play, it could have been a red card. It looks to me to be the type of challenge that would be a sending off according to how things are reffed.

If it had been Ederson against any team he would have walked. Of that I have no doubt whatsoever.
