I've never really understood the media love in with LFC.

You would think any media outlet worth their salt would steer clear from a cult like that.

I'm trying to remember but I think they were always lauded starting with the Shankly and Kop love in during the seventies. Then there was all the trouble they caused in Europe culminating in Heysel when their popularity waned a bit. The Hillsborough tragedy and the sun's awful reporting of it got the press onside again. I think a lot of plastic young fans then grew up to be sports reporters so they pushed them even more. Now they are full on to a sickening level and their anti City agenda fuels it all.the more.

Let’s face it, Pickford is a goalkeeper equivalent of Kyle Walker, loses situational awareness and dives in, nothing malicious just fucking clumsy. The Dipper cunts on the other hand go out to injure opponents with sly kicks and pushing them into advertising screens. As for Hendersons winner being chalked off fucking great! Tough shit.
oh and isn’t that Big Picture wanker John Henry a part owner of the VAR software? Twats.
It was a sly push on Sane that led to his injury.

Thanks for that Chapo. Very interesting summary.

So really the British press and now the broadcasting media are so embroiled with them there's no turning back. The alliance is so hard wired in that no matter how embarrassing and awkward it gets for the media defending their behaviour they just cannot cut the ties.

It must be quite difficult for the media to maintain such a positive narrative for a club (cult) that has such an over developed sense of entitlement and such an under developed sense of responsibility.

Sane and Laporte out for most of the season plus VAR going against us plus dubious ref decisions going against us plus dropping points against sides we shouldn’t. We still won a trophy and finished second, they will need to lose Mane for most of the season to have deal the level of knocks we had - would they still finish second? Did we complain to the FA about VAR? Did we issue death threats to the injurer's of our key players? Did their manager take it all on the chin like Pep?

The answer to all those questions is a big fat NO!!!!
