BBC yaddering on about net spend and mentioning Thiago cost them less than they actually bought him for.

The move follows Liverpool's £20m capture of Spain midfielder Thiago Alcantara from Bayern Munich.

The Jota deal represents a net spend of about £30m, with defender Ki-Jana Hoever, 18, going the other way for £9m and a possible £4.5m in add-ons.

Note that the bbc haven't mentioned the addons agreed on top of the Alacantra deal :)

NET SPEND trophy in the bag again.

They sure do.

However, after seeing that you claimed 8 red fans died at Heysel I am putting you on ignore. That is too below the belt for me and I know reds fans would be distgusted by it

It was a misunderstanding on my part, I held my hands up and apologised for my mistake. Had it in my head for some reason, took a load of pelters on here but thought we’d moved on. Up to you though, pal.

He walked.
Thought it was everyone's favourite guilty pleasure Allison Rudd at first glance........

You deleted the post because, not for the first time you embarrassed yourself on here.
Who are you to judge whether I or any other poster is knowledgeable or articulate when you've never met them? Pompous you certainly are.
Please don't refer to me as "mate" as you're certainly not however I'm sure you can twist that comment to make yourself the victim as it's what you do best.

I deleted the post because it had nothing to do with you or even indeed your club. It was relevant only to one poster in the conversation which is why I redirected the comments accordingly.
Enjoy your weekend.

That’s true. Tell me though, with a team that had the quality they did, can you please explain why post 1985, they only won one trophy (two if you count the CS) until they won one again in 1995? Surely a team as great as that should have been mopping up trophies regardless of whether they were in Europe or not. We weren’t in there yet were stacking trophies up left right and centre.
The line that Everton would have gone to conquer Europe forever and a day is one of the biggest myths surrounding them. They had a great team but couldn’t assert any sustained dominance in England. They weren’t far away, granted, but not this all conquering team of supermen.
I would say that it is because that team were denied the opportunity to cement their dominance because of a European Ban they were subjected to because of the behaviour of your feral followers.
Lineker was signed and only stayed one season because he couldn't play in Europe. Gary Stevens and Trevor Steven went to Rangers for European football then Howard Kendall left for Atletico Bilbao again because of the European Ban.
The ban also damaged their ability to recruit players as well as keeping the ones they had which hampered their ability to cement their position and progress further.
It's all supposition and we will never know but hypothetically if English clubs had been banned 10 years earlier, can you honestly say that your lot would have kept hold of Bob Paisley as manager and signed players like Hansen, Dalglish and Souness and kept them for so many years?

I thought you weren't engaging with me anymore as you're an "articulate and knowledgeable poster"?
You're the Walter Mitty of this forum.

How can anyone who claims to be a genuine and knowledgeable Liverpool fan who lives in the City come up with such a humongous whopper?
