If we went out and signed jota I can’t say I would be at all arsed or enthusiastic
Not saying he is a bad player but wolves didn’t put up a fight
Let them do their thing, we just need to concentrate on resolving our own issues

Man speaks with forked tongue

He's a liar and he knows what he is doing. To suggest that Liverpool "invest what they earn" and other clubs (obviously Chelsea and City) don't is just dishonest. He knows full well that both Chelsea and City are fully sustainable and invest what they earn. We have just been through the CAS hearing which cleared us of overspending as far back as 2012 when we were investing hugely. Nowadays we make profits and are fully compliant with FFP.
Klopp is just feeding the false narrative and spreading poison between the clubs. The impact of his comments is played out violently by his thuggish fans whenever they play City. One day it will result in a supporter receiving serious injuries. He disgusts me.

Ah, you’re a bit late to this party, it was resolved a while back if you can be arsed to search the posts.
And the VHS shout is a weird one. We’ve got stacks of VHS, DVD and Blu Ray coverage yet I wouldn’t say the same stacks up your side. No worries though, it’s a lovely day so enjoy your weekend.
You can have this one for free to add to your collection. On a par with Stan and Ollie at their finest.

We have people on here sounding as if they are ready to throw the towel already before we have kicked a ball because we have players missing and because Liverpool have signed a couple of players.
FFS.
Robertson suggesting St Marcus will get a standing ovation at Anfield. Take about an unholy alliance forming with those in red.

This 100%

Get behind your team and do the fecks

Lets see how they perform later today against chelsea...if they swat them aside easily then we know that this season is going to be another with no slip ups allowed

Right ...Tin hat on....

My hatred for the rags is permanent. It never, ever fluctuates.
The hatred I have for the dippers is transient: they haven’t been active in my conscious mind for a long, long time so they became just a memory, a memory of an unpleasant illness, or an event I‘d like to place in the past.
But in the last couple of years I haven’t been able to open a newspaper or switch on a football-related TV programme without seeing molar man or one of his equally nauseating underlings. The tabloids (and Sly/BT/ITV/BBC) have been guilty of excessively over promoting them to the point of saturation, and I find it obscene that no independent body has picked up on it and demanded more of a sense of proportion, of balance, symmetry.
As their media prominence increases so my hostility towards them increases.

As I have posted previously I think Liverpool have alot to be proud of, but also alot to be ashamed of and so I do get the hostility from many on here. To some extent I admire it as it shows a passion for your own club, something that the game is built on and is sadly missing a little from the games we have seen since restart.

So it was Kent's comment that got me thinking about "hatred" and rivalries and whether they change. Growing up on the Wirral I tended to follow the results of all the local clubs, Chester, Tranmere, Liverpool and Everton, wanting them all to do well. Then after starting to go to matches with my dad who had a season ticket at Anfield I became more narrow in my support, but my dislike for your neighbours increased. I wouldnt say it got to the level of hatred. The dislike and the rivalry...and yes jealousy only grew during their succes and our fallow years. During that time there was the success of Arsenal , Chelsea and now City. I dont think I ever really disliked any of them or begrudged them their success. Maybe Chelsea a little with their less than exciting football...... Arsenal (maybe not as much with the 1-0 to the Arsenal phase) & City were/are a joy to watch and I dont think many can dislike or hold a grudge when you see good football played.

Yes the recent incidents (bus/hacking/letters) will shape and no doubt remain the memories of many, but I wonder if Liverpools win last season was a once in 30yr thing and we go back to being mediocre, whether the dislike/hatred will remain. Or will we go back to being that "unpleasant memory"?

Do those local or "tradional" rivalries/hatreds change with success or the rise of other clubs?

Just me pondering again.

I don't think they'll swat them aside, they'll win by one flukey goal. Unfortunately for us they win a lot without playing well. I always think their luck will run out, but I'm not so sure. We'll need 90 points this season to have a chance.

i don't think it's the success of liverpool that makes you hated. it's the smugness, arrogance and denial of any wrongdoings by club and fans that cause the hatred. rather than condemn some of the actions by your fans it appears to be encouraged by the club.
