Have to say that this forum / thread seems to have reverted pretty much back to how it was when I first started lurking and then registering a couple of years back. Ever since Wednesday night the conspiracy theories seem to have come back and been ramped up.
...But then thats the joy and agony of football that plays with our emotions. Its the hope that gets you!
I have a sneaking suspicion that come late on Saturday, you lot will be praising the likes of Son or Kane for helping you on your way to another title.
Don't you mean kicking off at Lloris throwing in another last minute winner for you?

:)

Oh you big tease , you don't really believe that do you ?
Maybe its almost a old school City mentality of thinking we are going to blow it?
I watched how Spurs beat the line of Villa a couple of weeks back and how they broke so fast and am seriously worried.
To a degree it doesnt really matter as us losing makes little difference as it is in your hands. I just have this feeling that it has all gone far too well since Jan.
I was at work on Tuesday night and was mad mad busy so didnt get a chance to watch any of the Villareal game. I did see the score at half time and then only after final whistle and just thought that the bubble had burst then.
I recall in my youth getting all giddy about the possibility of winning the treble and the then disappointment when the rags beat us in the Cup Final. So that taught me never to take anything for granted.

Well I sincerely hope you are right.

" I never take anything for granted " - are you sure you support the dippers ?

Mate, we've been hoping since January for your lot to drop points. Brighton away, arsenal away, newcastle away, west ham home etc etc. Time and time again you pluck a goal or two out of nowhere and see the game through. Not blowing teams away, but doing enough and generally looking pretty comfortable.

We've generally just accepted you will win all of your remaining games, however as long as we do the same, its all that really matters.

The theories have been doing the rounds for a while; it was your own fans on their own podcast that highlighted it. You have an obscene high number of asthmatics in your side, who do an awful lot of running, more than most. For fairness though I’d like to see the percentage of asthmatics at every club. I have a feeling most would be doing something similar if they can. There’s a huge media bias for your mob, that’s not a conspiracy, that’s clear as day and a million examples can be listed. Many feel you get away with more than most. More of a theory but the stats back that up to with you never getting players sent off or conceding penalties. Who knows, you aren’t a likeable bunch so I’m sure that goes towards people exaggerating things about you.

Helping?
It's in our own hands.
Are you getting swept away with the media dipper frenzy again?

Personally I don't doubt in the slightest that PEDs are used extensively in all top level sport including football.

But a question for you, you seem convinced the scousers are cheating by using peds, do you believe that we are squeaky clean and don't use them?

Yep, not trying to smear my own team but I completely agree with you.

There is no way I could argue that Liverpool players for sure don't use anything. There was an olympic coach who said that drug tests were merely an IQ test, and an easy one at that. Its well documented that there are myriads of ways of benefiting form PEDS and not being rumbled for it.

Liverpool aside and on a biological level I'm highly cynical that non-asthmatics could benefit that much from using stuff for asthma. From some quick research, it looks like it the real affects are negligible (studies published online)

I'm extremely cynical nowadays as to how clean any athlete is. The rewards and stakes are far too high to not run any risk at all of using PEDS. Crossfit is a great sport to get into for super ''clean'' sport that is actually drugged to the sky.

TBF I think half the media frenzy is just the media trying to make something out of something that isn't there. Drama for drama's sake a

The league was gone when we played you, and its beyond befuddled me that the media seem to fail to pick this up. The whole talk of the quad is nuts, when its only in our hands to get 3 of the 4 and oh, we've only actually won one.

Wow a reasonable dipper.
Glad to know some of you have commonsense and are not all media fuelled idiots.
We have a job to do if we want the league knowing that you'll be there every step of the way, ready if we do slip.
I see that pressure as a good thing for our concentration on the job in hand.

We've probably got 4 finals to play out now to the end, whereas you've got 6 to play out.
Both teams will receive what they've earned/deserved at the end of the season
