I have no issue with anyone booing the anthem as it's shite and means fuck all in modern Britain, plus those celebrated have ransacked this country for centuries and took the piss out of the workong class. Also I am a repuplican so would never sing it myself.

In my opinion all northern clubs shpuld boo it.

The authorities should have long since changed it for the UK and brought in to an English one for English occasions seperate to the union.

Booing Abide with me though was a load of bollocks though

They boo it because most of the scousers aren't scousers they are foreign, imagine going to another country and booing their traditions?

I'll take them at their word, scouse not English.

Not just yesterday, it's almost every game mate. If the media had done a full on "tactical fouling initiative" on him like they did with us in general and Fernandinho specifically, he'd get about 6 reds a season; but they know that it'd be greeted with their "we're being picked on again" mentality followed by that high pitched whining screeching that they all do.

Dangerous Mane is even worse. No chance of getting the ball? Just slide in with your studs up and take them out at the knee or higher! The guy's a dangerous player yet he gets away with it time and time again.

And don't get me started with with their last man chasing an attacker and pushing them over from behind shit! Apparently that's not a foul if you're sponsored by a company that launders money for terrorists.

Corrupt as fuck!
Thiago the next Scholes

Does the cup double despite not scoring a goal in either final. Helping hand from officials in both finals ( and previous rounds ie Carabo v Leicester, FA v Cardiff).
Must be easy to win when your immune to cards, Var rules out a good goal and ignores penalties and get a Europa standard draw run to the final in the CL and yet again the slightly tough opposition get sending offs in 3 of the 4 games v them.

Think you should look into the reasons why we boo the National Anthem as you seem ill informed. I would say more but my posts do not seem to be getting past the mods even though they are all, as is this, extremely polite and respectful and just point out certain facts.
Me: Alexa, why do Liverpool fans boo the national anthem?
Alexa: Because they are cunts.

Cleared it up.

Mate, I don't describe people as scum or murderers (apart from Putin's crew in Ukraine at present). You and I are reasonable guys, I think, although I don't know you.
I was in a train out of Lime Street full of City fans after a match. O.k., this was in the seventies. As we passed under a bridge shortly after leaving the station, a bunch of them hurled breeze blocks down on to the roof of the train. Think about — it means they'd organised themselves, they'd thought about this in advance, they knew the schedule, they were there and waiting. The breeze blocks thundered onto the roofs of the carriages. But no-one, so far as I know, was seriously hurt.
I encountered hooliganism during that period, for sure, and had a bit of argy-bargy with United fans. Nothing too serious (I know others on here had very bad experiences with rags, not judging). But I don't remember anything remotely like that happening at any away match I went to. Nor have I seen it more recently at away grounds. Was at Chelsea two or three years back and one of the stewards directing us said to us “The queue for the champions' supporters is this way.” Wasn't arse licking, just being respectful. Can you for one second imagine that happening at Anfield? Even from a steward?

A breeze block hurled from a bridge on to someone's cranium would kill them outright — no sweat.

Sure, it's a long time ago. But they do this. They've got previous. Do I need to remind the world of Heysel? Then, more recently, bricking our supporters coach as it came into the car park at Anfield. Then, even more recently, trashing our team coach. They do this. They've got previous. All with a quite unique sanctimoniousness about how they're God's chosen ones (and by implication, are absolved of anything they might get up to). Always the victims; never their fault. Because at Anfield of course, “it means more”…
The team? Liverpool teams since the sixties have often been terrific. The Tommy Smith team, the Joey Jones team, the John Barnes team, I could go on. Great managers: Shankly is a personal hero of mine, had a lot of respect for Paisley, and no, I don't hate Klopp at all. I find him quite likeable, although I could do with a bit less of the amateur theatricals, fist pumping in front of the Kop and all the rest of it. If we didn't have Pep, I'd willingly have Klopp. This current team is a terrific team. Nearly as good as us. Perhaps as good. We'll see in the years to come.
No problem with any of that. It's their club, with its bloody song (which was originally sung by Johnny Mathis, by the way, and was sung by several other clubs, before it somehow mysteriously became their property, presumably because of Gerry and the Fuckwits). Above all, it's their supporters.
You will also have noticed something else, as the founder of this forum. Liverpool supporters, when they venture on here, come on here giving it the big one. Not all, but it's a recurrent phenomenon. I notice it, because nobody else whatsoever does it. One came on here offering violence to posters. I remember it clearly. Of course, it's nonsense: it's so easy to be a keyboard warrior. But it's the principle of it. I'm registered at two or three other forums. KUMB, Arsenal Mania, Griffin Park. I don't often go on there (usually, it's when they're playing United, to encourage them to do them), but when I do, I'm scrupulously respectful. For me, I'm in someone else's house. I would no more think of slagging them off than I would think of criticising the neighbour's choice of furniture if he invited me in for a cup of tea. Not arse licking – just respectful. It's the way I was brought up.
Anyway, just my point of view, for what it's worth, and my attempt to explain some of the bile on here towards them which, I admit, is sometimes over the top.
I travelled away a lot during the 70's and to be honest City and Utd were not good places to got to, neither were Newcastle many other or my personal dislike Leeds. You seem to see the train incident as the worse thing that happened at this time caused by us, eg Blackpool fan stabbed to death in 1974, Leeds rioting after 1975 EC Final in Paris, they were banned, 1978 full scale riot in and outside stadium at Milwall etc etc I could go on. Also you have got YNWA wrong, name the teams, usually Celtic. As for bricking your coach, unexcusable, but check Youtube to see City supporters doing something maybe not as bad but similar. My point on here is simple, Liverpool and Manchester are very similar, same levels of crime, drug use, unemployment etc, just check the facts. We can argue about teams, City cannot be faulted and KDB is an amazing player, but in my opinion before Heysel we were never looked on as one of the violent set of supporters. The internet has allowed people to vent about things they know little about and most Liverpool, City etc etc supporters are more or less the same, this is my view, which is not welcome here but there you go.

Funeral last week and it was all football shirts or bright colours, he was a Liverpool fan for his sins and they played the dirge halfway through the wake, everyone arm's joined, tears rolling and emotional.
Our family all in city tops sat it out, plenty of banter back and fore but no chance and that's what he would have expected/wanted if he was there, in fact he would have loved it.

And then they cry when people call them thieving cunts

If you cannot click on to see, basically calebrating robbing krispy creme signs and shoplifting WHS smith and greggs at the services, wierdos

In fairness, I remember us emptying a service station on the way back from the 99 play off final. It made a change from the service stations robbing us!

Whenever I went to Cup Finals – and I went to several at the old twin towers Wembley – Abide With Me was a really important moment. I'm not a Christian, or religious, so it had nothing to do with any of that, but it was a song that emphasised the gravitas of 100.000 people all being gathered together in a high state of expectation.
They bang on about history, but there is no set of supporters that is more utterly blind to what history actually means outside of their own sterile little bubble.
I'm Jewish and I agree. Booing that song is just weird.

Also, Liverpool fans need to get over their persecution complex. Yes, they do get a lot of shit over Hillsborough but their bad reputation is not entirely undeserved. They brag about robbing service stations, they trashed the city centre after their title win and blamed Everton fans, even though no Everton fan in their right mind would be anywhere near Liverpool celebrations, they get into fights when they go abroad. They're not as bad as Millwall (even people I know who hate football dread going into town if Millwall are playing there, plus Millwall fans have a horrible far right element and I don't think Liverpool do), but they are starting to get there.

Their threads are 10x worse. They spend half their time fantasising about Haaland et al getting a long term/career ending injury.
Classy. Especially considering how they behaved towards Jordan Pickford. Threatening him and his family after he injured VVD.
