Everybody's dream recepient of a punch to the face Andy Robertson with the inside scoop of what it was like outside the ground, from inside the changing rooms.
Nearly happened the year before with leeds/cov semi.Hillsborough was totally different. The stadium was a death trap. The worst crush I have ever been in was watching City there a few years before the disaster and I left that match against Sheffield Wednesday at half time. The stadium did not even have a safety licence. They were different times with fences and pens and all the risks associated with crumbling infrastructure. I suspect what happened last night was the same as the Athens final. Lots got in without tickets while the decent fans paid the price.
Now, now they wasn't to blame for that. They blame Juventus fans, UEFA, The Belgian FA, The Stadium itself, the media, the contractors who built the stadium, the belgian police, the italian police, Chelsea fans, the Tory government, the BBC, Barry Davies, Jimmy Hill, Vincent Kompanys parents, Kevin De Bruyne parents, Uncle Tom Cobley and all. But they don't blame the biggest elephant in the room, their own "lovable scallies" fansJust realised the parade is on the anniversary of Heysel? Doesn’t seem particularly appropriate.
Not to mention Kyle and Joao
Depends on how small time your club is.Having a parade with no League title or European cup to show off is also not appropriate.
I lived in Spain nigh on 12 years and the Guardia Civil had a fearsome reputation. In time we realised that they were not there to smash your face in but to actually defend you, no matter what nationally you were. I have alot of respect for them. If you step out of line then you best get ready for the consequences.Yes the police on the continent don't take any messing and as sports spectators we know that, understand it and accept it. Liverpool fans simply have this air of arrogance and entitlement. They overstepped the mark and the police, albeit more trigger happy than ours, responded as expected. Dippers have only themselves to blame (and of course everyone else). Have somehow managed to attend many sporting occasions in Paris, Spain and elsewhere without being batoned, peppered, or charged.
100k fans for a game where they only have 20k ticketsAm in Paris this weekend and actually the dippers have genuine reason to complain - the police and organisers were shite - it wasn’t an issue of ‘fake tickets’ even genuine ticketed fans got turned away - we had the same issue at RolandGarros the other night - massive queues shit organisation - give Paris a wide berth
If city had got there we’d have had a similar experience - plainly the frogs couldn’t organise a piss up in a brewery
