And that's still not a motive for Liverpool delaying a game when they got no benefit from it. No less congestion, no players back, and Arsenal did get players back.

Yes they tested positive on the first and would have been able to play after returning a negative test 5 days later.

And, unless the premier league has different rules, if they tested positive on the 1st, their 5 days starts on the 2nd. So they would have been isolating until midnight on the 6th anyway.

I just read up a bit to aid my failing memory. Is this not what happened?

2017: Cora sign-stealing at Houston.

2017: Boston using videos to sign-steal and Apple watches to communicate (before Cora). Investigated in 2017, fined and rules changed to make electronic communication explicitly illegal.

2018: Players entering video replay room to pass sign-stealing from operator/ analyst to dugout. Investigated in 2020 and sanctioned.

2020: Houston sign-stealing exposed, Cora sacked.

2020: Cora re-appointed.

Still sounds like Boston found to be cheating and punished twice to me. Oh, and hiring people they know to be cheats.
